Mnet Asian Music Awards
The MAMA Awards (formerly Mnet Asian Music Awards) is a major music awards ceremony presented annually by entertainment company CJ E&M. First held in South Korea, the majority of prizes has been won by K-pop artists, although there are other Asian artists winning in various award categories, such as for Best Asian Artist and other professional-related awards. The awards ceremony was first held in Seoul in 1999, being aired on Mnet. MAMA has also been held in various Asian countries and cities outside of South Korea since 2010 and now airs internationally online beyond Asia. Park Ji-yeon (Hangul: 박지연; born April 8, 1981), better known by her stage name Gummy (Hangul: 거미), is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 2003 with the album ''Like Them'' and has since become known for her soundtrack appearances. Park Bom (born March 24, 1984), previously known mononymously as Bom, is a South Korean singer. She is best known as a member of the South Korean girl group 2NE1. Park began her musical career in 2006, featuring on singles released by labelmates Big Bang, Lexy, and Masta Wu. In 2009, she made her debut as a member of 2NE1 as the main vocalist. The group went on to become one of South Korea's most popular and best-selling girl groups of all time. The 2010 Mnet Asian Music Awards was the twelfth of the annual music awards in Seoul, South Korea that took place on November 28, 2010, at The Venetian Macao in Macau, China. About 10,000 people attended the awards ceremony. The ceremony was the first Mnet Asian Music Awards to occur outside of South Korea. 2NE1 took home four awards, the most of the night, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year. 2PM took home three including the Shilla Duty Free Asian Wave Special Award, as well as rookie group Miss A won Song of the Year for "Bad Girl Good Girl". Hong Jin-young (born August 9, 1985) is a South Korean trot singer and entertainer. She was a member of the short-lived South Korean girl group SWAN, which debuted in 2007. ''Muzik'' was a British dance music magazine published by IPC Media from June 1995 to August 2003. ''Muzik'' was created by two former '' Melody Maker'' journalists, Push and Ben Turner. The title was subsequently edited by Conor McNicholas, who went on to edit ''NME''. 4Minute (, often stylized as 4MINUTE) was a South Korean girl group formed in 2009 by Cube Entertainment. The members of the group were Son Ji-hyun, Nam Ji-hyun, Heo Ga-yoon, Jeon Ji-yoon, Hyuna, Kim Hyuna and Kwon So-hyun.
