Mnet (TV Channel)
Mnet (acronym of Music Network) is a South Korean pay television music channel owned by CJ E&M, a division of CJ ENM, part of CJ Group. The CJ E&M Center Studio located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul is the broadcast and recording centre of many Mnet programs with a studio audience, namely the live weekly music show '' M Countdown''. It is also the venue for live performances in survival shows such as '' Superstar K'', '' Show Me The Money'', '' Unpretty Rapstar'', '' Produce 101'' series, '' High School Rapper'', '' Queendom'', '' Road to Kingdom'', '' Kingdom'' and '' Girls Planet 999''. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. ''Road to Kingdom'' () is a television program that aired every Thursday at 20:00 (KST) on Mnet from April 30 to June 18, 2020. It is known as the first part of the male counterpart of '' Queendom'', and the prequel of '' Kingdom''. A press conference for the program was held on April 21. ''Queendom'' () is a South Korean reality competition television program that aired on Mnet. The first season aired from August 29 to October 31, 2019, on every Thursday at 21:20 ( KST). This season, Mamamoo finished in first place. The second season, dubbed as ''Queendom 2'', premiered on March 31, 2022 airing in the same time slot. This season, WJSN finished in first place.
