Miyuki Maeda
is a Japanese international badminton player from the Renesas badminton club and later affiliated with Saishunkan team. She participated at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games, and also in three Asian Games editions from 2006 to 2014. Career Maeda's first major success was at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. With her women's doubles partner Satoko Suetsuna they finished fourth, the 2nd best performance to date by Japanese badminton players at the Olympics. The two have continued to compete together after the Olympics and have maintained a top six ranking since March 2010. On the national level they won their first doubles title in 2010. In the mixed doubles Maeda competed with Noriyasu Hirata, winning the national championships in 2009 and 2010. Yu Yang (badminton)
Yu Yang (; born 7 April 1986) is a retired Chinese badminton player specializing in doubles. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, three time World Champion and four time Asian Champion. Yu was part of the China winning team in four Sudirman Cup, three Uber Cup, two Asian Games, and in a Asia Team Championships. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology of China. Wang Xiaoli
Wang Xiaoli (; born 24 June 1989) is a Chinese badminton player who is a doubles specialist. In 2012, she competed at the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Career In 2005, she joined the Chinese national second team and officially became the first team in 2008. Wang Xiaoli began her international career in 2009 when she paired with Tao Jiaming in mixed doubles and with Ma Jin in women's doubles. She quickly gained success with Ma Jin and culminated their career with a gold medal at the 2009 Asia Championships. In the middle of the 2010 season, Wang Xiaoli dropped mixed doubles from her repertoire of events and began competing in women's doubles with Yu Yang. Satoko Suetsuna
is a badminton player from Japan. Born in Ōita, Ōita Prefecture, she joined Renesas badminton club and later affiliated with Saishunkan team. She was a bronze medalist at the 2011 BWF World Championships with her partner Miyuki Maeda. Career Suetsuna has gained prominence in badminton through her success in women's doubles with her partner Miyuki Maeda, and the partnerships known by the Japanese media as "Suemae". Together they won the 2010 Denmark Open, their first major tournament victory. They went on to win the 2011 Malaysia Grand Prix Gold and the 2011 India Open. The badminton tournaments at the 2012 Olympic Games in London took place between 28 July and 5 August at Wembley Arena. A total of 172 athletes competed in five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The women's doubles tournament was marred by several disqualifications during the group stage for unethical play. All of the gold medals were won by players from China.
