Mixed Race (album)
''Mixed Race'' is Tricky's eighth studio album, released on 27 September 2010. It is his second album released through Domino Records, following 2008's ''Knowle West Boy''. ''Mixed Race'' was recorded in Paris, where Tricky currently lives, and has been described by Domino Records as "his most passionate album to date". Tricky himself has described it as "the most uptempo album I've done". Musically, the album takes influence from UK, Jamaican, US, North African and French music. Guest artists include Franky Riley, Terry Lynn, Bobby Gillespie, Gavin Brooksbank, Hakim Hamadouche, Blackman, and Tricky's youngest brother Marlon Thaws. Tricky (musician)
Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws (born 27 January 1968), better known by his stage name Tricky, is a British record producer and rapper. Born and raised in Bristol, he began his career as an early member of the band Massive Attack alongside Robert Del Naja, Grant Marshall & Andrew Vowles. He embarked on a solo career with his debut album, ''Maxinquaye'', in 1995. The release won Tricky popular acclaim and marked the beginning of a lengthy collaborative partnership with vocalist Martina Topley-Bird. He released four more studio albums before the end of the decade, including ''Pre-Millennium Tension'' and the pseudonymous ''Nearly God'', both in 1996. He has gone on to release nine studio albums since 2000, most recently ''Fall to Pieces'' (2020). ''Tiny Mix Tapes'' (also ''TMT'' or ''tinymixtapes'') is an online music and film webzine that focuses primarily on new music and related news. In addition to its reviews, it is noted for its subversive, political, and sometimes surreal news, as well as a podcast and its mixtape generator. Bobby Gillespie
Robert "Bobby" Gillespie (born 22 June 1961) is a Scottish musician, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the lead singer, founding member, and primary lyricist of the alternative rock band Primal Scream. He was also the drummer for The Jesus and Mary Chain in the mid-1980s. In October 2021, Gillespie published his memoir ''Tenement Kid''.
