Mixed Nutz
''Mixed Nutz'' is an animated cartoon series produced by Big Bad Boo Studios (formerly Norooz Productions). The show is about a group of friends from different backgrounds in a fictional town called Dyvercity. The main characters are Babak from Iran, Sanjay from India, Adele from Austria, Damaris from Cuba and Jae from Korea. The show has been referred to as "International" ''Peanuts'' for the simplicity of the animation style and its multicultural angle. Big Bad Boo Studios produced 13 half-hour episodes in 2008 with an international cast and crew including Maz Jobrani and producers Aly Jetha and Shabnam Rezaei. Big Bad Boo is a Canadian production company that specializes in animated series for television as well as games, apps, websites and curriculum development. Popular TV series are 16 Hudson, based on the miniseries Lili & Lola and musical series ABC with Kenny G, which is also spinoff. Other titles include The Bravest Knight, a Hulu Original, and Mixed Nutz which aired on PBS in the US and in 30 other countries worldwide. Maziyar Jobrani ( fa, مازیار جبرانی; born February 26, 1972) is an American comedian and actor who was part of the "Axis of Evil" comedy group. The group appeared on a comedy special on Comedy Central. Jobrani has also appeared in numerous films, television shows, including ''Better Off Ted'', on radio, and in comedy clubs. Babak And Friends
''Babak and Friends - A First Norooz'' is a direct-to-DVD animated film by Norooz Productions, later renamed Big Bad Boo Studios. The 33-minute cartoon was released in 2005. The film was made to teach children about the Persian New Year Norooz, celebrating the coming of spring and is about a little boy named Babak who is stuck between being Iranian and being American. Through a dream and magical visit by Amoo norooz, Babak learns to be proud of his heritage and celebrates the New Year with his family. The movie was produced by Aly Jetha, Shabnam Rezaei, Matt Hullum, Dustin Ellis, and Mastaneh Moghadam, and written and directed by Dustin Ellis. MHz Networks is an American public broadcaster that specializes in international television programming.
