Mittagong Lions Rugby League Football Club is an Australian rugby league football club based in Mittagong, New South Wales. Originally a rugby union club in the late 19th century, Mittagong was a founding member of the Berrima District Rugby League in 1914, just prior to the outbreak of the First World War. Mittagong () is a town located in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in Wingecarribee Shire. The town acts as the gateway to the Southern Highlands when coming from Sydney. Mittagong is situated at an elevation of . The town is close to Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale and the Northern Villages such as Yerrinbool and Colo Vale. Moreover, Mittagong is home to many wineries of the Southern Highlands which has been a recent growing wine and cellar door region. Geography The town lies between three small mountain reserves, Mount Alexandra above sea level, Mount Gibraltar above sea level and Ninety Acre Hill (part of the greater Gibbergunyah Reserve) above sea level. Group 6 Rugby League
The Macarthur Division Rugby League is a senior Rugby league competition in New South Wales, Australia, administered by the New South Wales Rugby League. Formerly known as Group 6, the competition was, until 2019, run under the auspices of the Country Rugby League. The geographical area covered by the former CRL Group 6 takes in much of the Southern Highlands and southern Macarthur regions of New South Wales, extending from Marulan, New South Wales in the south, to Mount Annan/ the M5 in the north and Warragamba in the west. Daniel Alvaro (born 28 May 1993) is an Italy international rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Toulouse Olympique in the Betfred Super League. He previously played for the Parramatta Eels and the New Zealand Warriors in the National Rugby League and at representative level he played for NSW Country in 2017. Background Alvaro was born in Newtown, New South Wales, Australia. Parramatta Eels
The Parramatta Eels are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the Sydney suburb of Parramatta that competes in the National Rugby League. The Parramatta District Rugby League Football Club was formed in 1947, and their home ground was Parramatta Stadium (formerly Cumberland Oval). As of 2019, Parramatta's home ground stadium has been rebuilt and they now play as the co-tenants at Western Sydney Stadium, which sits on the same site that was once Parramatta Stadium. It took thirty years for the club to make the grand final, which they did in 1976 and 1977, losing on both occasions. Jeremy Latimore (born 8 December 1986) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played as a . He played for the Parramatta Eels, New Zealand Warriors, St. George-Illawarra Dragons in two separate spells, and the Penrith Panthers and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NRL.
