Team Jayco AlUla (UCI Code: BEX) is a women's professional cycling team based in Australia which competes in the UCI Women's World Tour and other elite women's events throughout the world. After being sponsored by Orica for five years, the team secured sponsorship from Mitchelton Wineries and Scott bicycles, and were known as Mitchelton–Scott, from 2018 to 2020. Team history 2014 season 2014 saw a change in leadership at Orica-AIS as the women's team's original directeur sportif Dave McPartland took up a role with the men's team Orica Greenedge, while former Tasmanian Institute of Sport head cycling coach Gene Bates took over McPartland's position. Cycling Australia (CA), the trading name of the Australian Cycling Federation Inc, was the national governing body for bicycle racing in Australia, and represented the interests of affiliated cycling clubs and State federations. Bay Classic Series
The Bay Classic Series (currently running as the Lexus of Blackburn Bay Crits) is a road cycling race held annually in and around Port Phillip Bay in Victoria, Australia. The race consists of both a men's and a women's competition over three stages. The men's stages are approximately one-hour criteriums (45 minutes plus 10 laps) with three sprints at 15-minute intervals. The women's stages are approximately 45-minute criteriums (30 minutes plus 10 laps) with two sprints at 15-minute intervals. Points are awarded to the first 10 riders at the finish (12, 10, 8 to 1). Additional points are awarded in the intermediate sprints to the first three places (3, 2 & 1 points) towards a separate sprint classification. A team classification is calculated from the points of the highest ranked three riders in each team of five. Alexandra Manly (born 28 February 1996) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who joined the Women's WorldTour team in 2022. She also rode for between 2015 and 2019. Manly qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She was a member of the Women's pursuit team. Macey Stewart (born 16 January 1996) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. She joined the Orica–AIS team in 2015. Melissa Hoskins (born 24 February 1991) is an Australian former track and road racing cyclist. She topped the general classification in the 2012 Tour of Chongming Island. She was a member of the Australian track cycling team pursuit team that finished in fourth place at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Hoskins announced her retirement from professional cycling on 2 May 2017. Personal Hoskins was born on 24 February 1991 in Kalamunda, Western Australia. She attended Walliston Primary School before going to high school at Carmel Adventist College in Western Australia. Lizzie Williams (born 15 August 1983) is an Australian former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2014 and 2018 for the Specialized Securitor, , and teams. Career Williams originally quit the sport in 2004 and returned ten years later at the end of 2013, spending the time before her comeback as a teacher whilst playing Australian rules football. In a gap in the 2014 NRS calendar, Williams was a guest rider in the USA with Jono Coulter-managed team Vanderkitten for a couple of months. Coulter suggested she apply for the Amy Gillett Cycling Scholarship, she was awarded the 2014 scholarship to race with the Australian National team in Europe the next month.
