Mitchell Mann
Mitchell Mann (born 26 December 1991) is an English professional snooker player. Career Junior Mann first played snooker aged 9, after being forced to quit football after a diagnosis of Legg–Calvé–Perthes syndrome, a rare disease which rots the hip bone in young boys. The main highlight of his junior career was winning the Junior Pot Black in 2007, beating Jack Lisowski 76–23 in the final. Amateur In 2007–08, Mann at aged 15 began to play in the secondary International Open Series tour with eight places on the professional snooker tour on offer to the top eight in the end of season Order of Merit. In 2008–09, Mann was ranked 11th in the Order of Merit and 46th in 2009–10. The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) is the governing body of professional snooker and English billiards based in Bristol, England. It owns and publishes the official rules of the two sports and engages in promotional activities. The 2015–16 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between 7 May 2015 and 2 May 2016. The World Grand Prix became a ranking event featuring the top 32 players on a one-year money list, having been a non-ranking event the previous season. 2014–15 Snooker Season
The 2014–15 snooker season was a series of snooker tournaments played between 8 May 2014 and 4 May 2015. The Riga Open was the first professional snooker tournament held in Latvia. The season also saw the first professional tournament in Portugal as the Lisbon Open took place. In November, it was announced that the World Open would not be held this season after the contract with the promoter was not renewed and a new venue was not found in time. But the intention was to bring the event back for the next season. The structure of the World Championship was changed. The top 16 seeds still qualified automatically for the first round at the Crucible, but all non-seeded players had to start in the first of three qualifying rounds. The World Snooker Tour (WST) is the main professional snooker tour, consisting of approximately 128 players competing on a circuit of up to 28 tournaments each season. Stuart Carrington
Stuart Carrington (born 14 May 1990) is an English professional snooker player. He practises frequently with Steven Hallworth and Ian Glover in Grimsby. In May 2011, Carrington qualified for the 2011–12 professional Main Tour as one of four semi-finalists from the third and final Q School event. Career Debut season Carrington won just two matches during the 2011/2012 season. The 2013 Australian Goldfields Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 8–14 July 2013 at the Bendigo Stadium in Bendigo, Australia. It was the second ranking event of the 2013/2014 season. Michael White attempted a maximum break in his qualifying match against Nigel Bond, but he missed the final black at 140. With this he became the fifth player along with Mark Selby, Ken Doherty, Barry Pinches and Robin Hull to do so in a professional tournament. Shaun Murphy criticised his fellow professionals after eight of the top 16 players and reigning world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan decided not to register for the event. Robbie Williams (born 28 December 1986) is an English professional snooker player. Williams turned professional in 2012 after qualifying in Event 3 of the Q School and gained a two-year tour card for the 2012/13 and 2013/14 snooker seasons. Amateur career He has represented England in a number of amateur competitions, including the World Under 21 Championships in India. Williams has won the Merseyside Open five times. Ben Woollaston
Ben Woollaston (born 14 May 1987) is an English professional snooker player from Leicester. His sole professional title came at the minor-ranking third Players Tour Championship event in 2011. Woollaston's only ranking event final came at the 2015 Welsh Open, in which he lost to John Higgins. 2010 World Open (snooker)
The 2010 12bet.com World Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament held between 18 and 26 September 2010 at the S.E.C.C. in Glasgow, Scotland. This was the first time that the World Open was sponsored by 12bet.com. Ronnie O'Sullivan made the 73rd official maximum break during his match against Mark King. This was O'Sullivan's record 10th official 147, however he had to be persuaded by referee Jan Verhaas to play the final , as he became aware that there was no distinct prize money for a maximum break in the tournament and planned to end his break at 140. Shaun Peter Murphy (born 10 August 1982) is an English professional snooker player who won the 2005 World Snooker Championship, 2005 World Championship. Nicknamed "The Magician", Murphy is noted for his straight Cue stick, cue action and his long potting.
