Mississippi Highway 184 (MS 184) is an east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is a non-continuous highway, composed of segments from the previous path of U.S. Highway 84 (US 84) that have been displaced by new construction. Most of the segments of MS 184 serve as business routes, providing access from US 84 to towns where they are located. MS 184 consists of nine sections that all connect with US 84 in the towns of Waynesboro, near Laurel, Collins, Prentiss, Silver Creek, Monticello, Brookhaven, Bude, and Meadville. Meadville-Bude MS 184 runs for in the towns of Meadville and Bude in Franklin County. MS 184 begins just southwest of Meadville at an intersection US 84. Mississippi Highway 550 (MS 550) is a state highway connecting Union Church and Brookhaven in southern Mississippi. The road travels through Jefferson and Lincoln counties. Route description MS 550 begins at a Y-intersection with MS 28 in the community of Union Church, Jefferson County. The two-lane road heads southeast and later east through woodlands. The road crosses into Homochitto National Forest, enters Lincoln County, and crosses the Homochitto River. MS 550 winds through the national forest and reaches the settlement of Caseyville before formally exiting the forest's boundary. Mississippi Highway 13 (MS 13) is a state highway in Mississippi. It runs from north to south for , serving the counties of Forrest, Pearl River, Lamar, Marion, Jefferson Davis, Simpson, Rankin, Smith, Scott, and Leake. Route description MS 13 begins in southern Forrest County at an intersection with US 49 just south of Maxie. Jefferson Davis County is a county located in the U.S. state of Mississippi. As of the 2020 census, the population was 11,321. Its county seat is Prentiss. The county is named after Mississippi Senator and Confederate President Jefferson Davis. The county was carved out of Covington and Lawrence counties in March 1906. Governor James K. Vardaman signed the bill creating the county on May 9, 1906. History The genesis of the county occurred on March 31, 1906, when a Mississippi state legislative act authorized the new country's boundaries. Mississippi Highway 587 (MS 587) is a state highway in Mississippi. It runs north-south for approximately , beginning at the junction of U.S. Highway 98 (US 98), just past the community of Foxworth and ending in Monticello at US 84. MS 587 serves the counties of Lawrence and Marion. History MS 587 first appeared in maps in 1956, from US 98 to US 84. The majority of the section in Marion County was paved in hard surfacing, with the rest in gravel.
