Mission Road Ground
Mission Road Ground or Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground is a multi-purpose sports field in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, which is mainly used for cricket matches. It was opened in 1976, and the first match played there was between a Hong Kong XI and the Queensland Colts. In November 2015 the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that it had approved the ground as venue for holding One Day Internationals, One Day International (ODI) matches, the venue thus becoming the first international cricket venue in East Asia and China. On 26 January 2016, the ground hosted its first One Day International when the Hong Kong cricket team played against Scotland cricket team, Scotland in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. Mong Kok (also spelled Mongkok, often abbreviated as MK) is an area in Kowloon, Hong Kong. The Prince Edward subarea occupies the northern part of Mong Kok. Mong Kok is one of the major shopping areas in Hong Kong. Cricket Grounds In Hong Kong
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Kyle Christie is a Hong Kong cricketer. In 2016, Christie responded to an advert that Cricket Hong Kong posted on Facebook for Hong Kong-born cricketers who are overseas. Later that year, he made his international debut for the Hong Kong national cricket team. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Papua New Guinea on 6 November 2016. Aizaz Mohammad Khan (born 21 March 1993) is a Hong Kong international cricketer. He debuted for the Hong Kong national side in 2009, and has since played regularly for the team. He is a graduate of Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College. Early career Having played age group cricket for Hong Kong Under-19s in the 2010 Under-19 World Cup, Aizaz made his World Cricket League debut for Hong Kong in the 2011 World Cricket League Division Three, where he helped Hong Kong earn promotion to that year's WCL Division Two. Jamie Atkinson
James John Atkinson (born August 1990) is an international cricketer who plays cricket for Hong Kong. He also captained the Hong Kong cricket team before stepping down in May 2015. A wicket-keeper, he has also represented Hong Kong at Under-19s level, and was selected as part of their squad for the 2010 U-19 Cricket World Cup. He was the first player (either male or female) born in the 1990s to play in ODI cricket as he made his debut at the age of 17 in 2008 against Pakistan during the 2008 Asia Cup. Babar Hayat (born 5 January 1992) is a Pakistani-born Hong Kong cricketer, who plays for the Hong Kong cricket team. He is a right-handed batsman and a former captain of the national team. Chad Soper (born 19 November 1991) is a Papua New Guinean cricketer. Born in Port Moresby to a Papua New Guinean mother and a New Zealander father, he grew up on the New South Wales Central Coast. Kinrara Academy Oval
Kinrara Academy Oval was a cricket stadium located at Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Constructed in 2003, it hosted its first recorded match in 2005 when Bhutan Under-17s played Kuwait Under-17s in the Asian Cricket Council Under-17 Cup. The ground was closed on 30 June 2022. History The ground hosted all seven matches in the 2006-07 DLF Cup played between Australia, India and the West Indies. All of the matches played had One Day International status.
