Kinrara Academy Oval
Kinrara Academy Oval was a cricket stadium located at Bandar Kinrara, Puchong, Selangor, near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Constructed in 2003, it hosted its first recorded match in 2005 when Bhutan Under-17s played Kuwait Under-17s in the Asian Cricket Council Under-17 Cup. The ground was closed on 30 June 2022. History The ground hosted all seven matches in the 2006-07 DLF Cup played between Australia, India and the West Indies. All of the matches played had One Day International status. Despite having a capacity of 4,000 during these matches, only a few hundred spectators turned up to watch. Major international cricket hasn't returned since. Bandar Kinrara
Bandar Kinrara () is a township in Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia. The Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve is situated to its south. Island & Peninsular Berhad commenced the township development under Perumahan Kinrara Berhad in 1991. The only link road to the development then was via Jalan Puchong before entering Kinrara Army Camp road. Bandar Kinrara 1 (BK 1) was constructed for low-cost terrace houses before Bandar Kinrara 2 (BK 2) double storey terraces begun construction. Mission Road Ground or Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground is a multi-purpose sports field in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, which is mainly used for cricket matches. It was opened in 1976, and the first match played there was between a Hong Kong XI and the Queensland Colts. Interport matches refer to a series of cricket matches which took place in Asia from 1866 to 1987, between Ceylon, the Federated Malay States, Hong Kong, Malaya, Malaysia, Shanghai, Singapore and the Straits Settlements. 2020 Interport T20I Series
The Hong Kong cricket team toured Malaysia in February 2020 to play a five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series, known as the Interport T20 Series. All the matches were played at the Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur. The series marked the return of the 154-year-old tradition of contests known as 'Interport' matches, a term historically used to refer to matches played between various British settlements in Southeast Asia, such as Hong Kong and Malaysia (and the Malay states that preceded Malaysia). The series was originally scheduled to be played at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, Hong Kong, but was cancelled in early February due to the coronavirus pandemic in China. 2019 Malaysia Tri-Nation Series
The 2019 Malaysia Tri-Nation Series was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Malaysia. The series took place from 24 to 29 June 2019. The participating teams were Malaysia, Maldives and Thailand. Papua New Guinea were also included in the original schedule for a quadrangular tournament, but later withdrew. The matches were played at the Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur.
