Miss South Africa 2014
Miss South Africa 2014, the 59th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant, was held on 30 March 2014 at Sun City Superbowl. The pageant was broadcast on DStv on Mzansi Magic, and was hosted by television and radio personality Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp. The final was contested by 12 girls who were selected after weeks of grueling challenges at Sun City International. The pageant was won by Rolene Strauss who, in the December of the same year, was also crowned Miss World. Strauss' winning of the Miss World title made her ineligible for Miss Universe; this led to Miss South Africa 2014 first runner up Ziphozakhe Zokufa being crowned Miss South Africa, to allow Zokufa to compete for the Miss Universe 2014 crown. Rolene Strauss
Rolene Strauss (born 22 April 1992) is a South African beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss South Africa 2014 and was later crowned Miss World 2014. She is the third South African woman to be crowned Miss World, after Penelope Anne Coelen in 1958 and Anneline Kriel in 1974. Strauss is currently the chairperson of the non-profit organization The Strauss Foundation. Personal life Strauss was a medical student at the University of the Free State. She was born in Volksrust, South Africa, to Theresa, a nurse, and Hennie Strauss, a doctor. She is a test tube baby. Nelspruit
Mbombela (also known as Nelspruit) is a city in northeastern South Africa. It is the capital of the Mpumalanga province. Located on the Crocodile River (Mpumalanga), Crocodile River, Mbombela lies about by road west of the Mozambique border, east of Johannesburg and north of the Eswatini border. Amy Kleinhans
Amy Kleinhans-Curd (born 1968) is a South African beauty queen who was Miss South Africa 1992, the first non-white winner in the history of South Africa. She placed Top 5 to Miss World as Miss World Africa on 12 December 1992. Kleinhans also appears on the Afrikaans language South African reality show '' Die Real Housewives van die Wynlande''. Kojo Baffoe
Frank Kojo Baffoe Jr. (known as Kojo Baffoe) is a writer, poet, blogger, media consultant (television and print), producer, columnist, former editor of Destiny Man, and is currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Early life Kojo was born 10 April 1972 in Munich, Germany to a Ghanaian father and German mother. His father, Frank Baffoe was a business man and diplomat based in Lesotho. Bonang Dorothy Matheba (born 25 June 1987), is a South African award-winning television presenter, radio personality, actress and social media personality. Born in Mahikeng, North West, she is known for her flamboyant presenting skills and her signature voice. Matheba presented the SABC 1 music show ''LIVE'' (now ''Live Amp'') which built her spotlight in the industry. Anele Mdoda (born May 19, 1984) is a South African television presenter, radio personality, producer, businesswoman and author. Gqeberha (), formerly Port Elizabeth and colloquially often referred to as P.E., is a major seaport and the most populous city in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa.
