Mirów, Silesian Voivodeship
Mirów is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Niegowa, within Myszków County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately south of Niegowa, east of Myszków, and north-east of the regional capital Katowice. It is best known for the ruins of the 14th-century Mirów Castle, part of a defensive chain of medieval castles built along Polish Jura (''Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska''). Myszków
Myszków is a town in Poland, with 31,650 inhabitants (2019). Situated on the Warta river in the Silesian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Częstochowa Voivodeship (1975–1998), it is the capital of Myszków County. Myszków historically belongs to Lesser Poland, and the area where the town is now located, until the Partitions of Poland was part of Kraków Voivodeship’s County of Lelów. Silesian Beskids (Polish: , Czech: , german: Schlesische Beskiden) is one of the Beskids mountain ranges in Outer Western Carpathians in southern Silesian Voivodeship, Poland and the eastern Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic. Most of the range lies in Poland. It is separated from the Moravian-Silesian Beskids by the Jablunkov Pass. Beskidy Mountains
The Beskids or Beskid Mountains ( pl, Beskidy, cs, Beskydy, sk, Beskydy, rue, Бескиды (''Beskydŷ''), ua, Бескиди (''Beskydy'')) are a series of mountain ranges in the Carpathians, stretching from the Czech Republic in the west along the border of Poland with Slovakia up to Ukraine in the east. A voivodeship (; pl, województwo ; plural: ) is the highest-level administrative division of Poland, corresponding to a province in many other countries. The term has been in use since the 14th century and is commonly translated into English as "province".
