Mirko Stojanović
Mirko Stojanović (born 11 June 1939 in Zagreb) is a Croatian retired footballer. In his career, he made four international appearances for the Yugoslav national team. Playing career Club While playing for NK Dinamo Zagreb he won the 1959–60 Yugoslav Cup. In 1963–64 while at Red Star Belgrade he won both the Yugoslav First League title and his second Yugoslav Cup. After moving to the United States he won the titles with Oakland in 1967, Dallas in 1971 and an indoor title with San Jose in 1975. International Stojanović made his debut for Yugoslavia in a November 1961 friendly match away against Japan, coming on as a 46th-minute substitute for Milutin Šoškić, and earned a total of 4 caps, scoring no goals. He was an unused substitute for Yugoslavia at the 1962 FIFA World Cup, in which they placed fourth. His final international was a May 1964 friendly away against Czechoslovakia. Czechoslovakia National Football Team
The Czechoslovakia national football team ( cs, Československá fotbalová reprezentace, sk, Česko-slovenské národné futbalové mužstvo) was the national football team of Czechoslovakia from 1920 to 1993. The team was controlled by the Czechoslovak Football Association, and the team qualified for eight World Cups and three European Championships. 1962 FIFA World Cup
The 1962 FIFA World Cup was the seventh edition of the FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international football championship for senior men's national teams. It was held from 30 May to 17 June 1962 in Chile. The qualification rounds took place between August 1960 and December 1961, with 56 teams entering from six confederations, and fourteen qualifying for the finals tournament alongside Chile, the hosts, and Brazil, the defending champions. Milutin Šoškić
Milutin Šoškić (Serbian Cyrillic: Милутин Шошкић; 31 December 1937 – 27 August 2022) was a Serbian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is considered one of FK Partizan's greatest players. Biography He was born in Jablanica, a village near Peć from father Jeremija, a royal officer and mother Radunka, as the fourth child in the family. The ancestor of the Šoškić family is from Bratonožići, at the beginning of the 18th century he moved to Ulotina, and one branch of the family later went to live in Jablanica. 1975 NASL Indoor Tournament
In early 1975, the North American Soccer League hosted its first league-wide indoor soccer tournament over the course of seven weeks. All but four NASL teams participated. Overview Though the Dallas Tornado had won the NASL's 1971 Hoc-Soc Tournament and the Atlanta Apollos staged two league sanctioned pilot matches at the Omni in 1973, the birth of the modern game in North America can be traced to 1974, when three indoor exhibitions against the touring Soviet Red Army of Moscow club took place. The games were played on a field the size of a hockey rink, with goals 4 feet high by 16 feet wide. Much like hockey, matches were played in three 20 minute periods, allowed free substitution, and featured six man sides (five field players and a goalkeeper). The San Jose Earthquakes are an American professional soccer team based in San Jose, California. The Earthquakes compete as a member club of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS).
