Miriam Sylla
Myriam Fatime Sylla (born 8 January 1995) is an Italian volleyball player of Ivorian descent, playing as a wing spiker or opposite. She is part of the Italy women's national volleyball team. She competed at the 2015 European Games in Baku, the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, and the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Club career On club level she played for Foppapedretti Bergamo in 2015–2017. From 2018 to 2022 she then played for Imoco Volley. In 2022 she has become a player of Vero Volley Milano. Personal life She was born in Palermo from Ivorian parents. Then they left to the province of Lecco. Women's European Volleyball Championship
The Women's European Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Italy, which won its third title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1949 with participation of seven national teams. It was dominated by teams from Eastern Europe, who at that times were strongest teams not only at the European continent but also in the whole world. Imoco Volley Conegliano
Imoco Volley is an Italian women's volleyball club based in Conegliano and currently playing in the Serie A1. History The club was founded on 15 March 2012, two months after the bankruptcy of the other volleyball team in Conegliano. In April 2012, it acquired a Serie A1 licence from , that meant the club started playing directly at the highest Italian league. It has been playing under the name since its foundation in 2012. The club won the Serie A1 for the first time in 2015–16, winning the Italian Super Cup a few months later on 8 December 2016. On 5 March 2017, the club won the Coppa Italia for the first time after beating Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena 3–0 in the final. In December 2019 the club won the Women's Club World Championship. 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League was the inaugural edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League, a new annual international women's volleyball tournament contested by 16 national teams that replaced the former World Grand Prix in the international calendar. The competition was held between May and July 2018, and the final round took place in the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, Nanjing, China. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
