Mircea David
Mircea David (16 October 1914 – 12 October 1993) was a Romanian football player, who played as a goalkeeper. After a match between Romania and Italy, played in Rome, he was nicknamed by the Italian football fans ''Il Dio'', because of his incredible saves. He was a member of the Romania national football team which competed at the 1938 FIFA World Cup, but did not play any match. Early life Mircea David was born in Sinaia, in October 1914. Sinaia
Sinaia () is a town and a mountain resort in Prahova County, Romania. It is situated in the historical region of Muntenia. The town was named after the Sinaia Monastery of 1695, around which it was built. The monastery, in turn, is named after the Biblical Mount Sinai. King Carol I of Romania also built his summer residence, Peleș Castle, in Sinaia in the late nineteenth century. Sinaia is about northwest of Ploiești and south of Brașov, in a mountainous area on the Prahova River valley, just east of the Bucegi Mountains. Clubul Sportiv Viitorul Minerul Lupeni, commonly known as Minerul Lupeni, is a Romanian football club based in Lupeni, Hunedoara County which competes in Liga IV – Hunedoara County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines. Rudolf "Rudi" Hiden (9 March 1909 – 11 September 1973) was an Austrian- French footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Grazer AK, Wiener AC and RC Paris. A ball is a round object (usually spherical, but can sometimes be ovoid) with several uses.
