CIF Southern Section
The California Interscholastic Federation-Southern Section (CIF-SS) is the governing body for high school athletics in most of Southern California and is the largest of the ten sections that comprise the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Its membership includes most public and private high schools in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and central and southern Santa Barbara counties. At the start of the 2018/9 season, 13 schools from San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County left the Southern Section to join the much smaller CIF Central Section. Teams from the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and surrounding areas have competed in the CIF Los Angeles City Section since 1935. CIFSS's offices are located in Los Alamitos. Edgewood High School is a secondary school located in West Covina, California and is serviced by West Covina Unified School District. Previously a high school and now once again one, it shares its campus with Edgewood Middle School. The newly started high school's first graduating class was the class of 2014, which was the only class on campus when the school first opened in 2010. Bassett High School (California)
Bassett Senior High School is the only comprehensive high school for the Bassett Unified School District and is located at 755 N Ardilla Ave, La Puente, California 91746. The school mascot is The Olympian, a Greek god. The school colors are Black and Gold. The school coat of arms features three interlocked Olympic rings with the profile of an Olympian and feathers. The campus opened in 1965 and celebrated 50 years in 2015. The principal is Hector Vasquez. Ganesha High School
Pomona Unified School District or PUSD serves approximately 30,000 Pre-K-12 students and 17,000 adult learners at 44 schools in Pomona and Diamond Bar, California. It is located 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, and is the third-largest school district in Los Angeles County. In 1995 the school district bought the former Indian Hill Mall, a failing shopping center built in the 1960s, and redeveloped it into an educational, commercial and retail complex called The Village at Indian Hill. Garey High School
Garey High School is a public school serving grades 9–12. It is located in Pomona, California and is part of the Pomona Unified School District. The school opened in 1962, and its 2019–2020 enrollment was 1723 students. History Garey High School was one of four major building projects planned by the Pomona Unified School District Board of Education in 1961. It was named for Thomas A. Garey, a Pomona pioneer "associated with the incorporation of Pomona, as well as the incorporation of Artesia and Garey, California", a leading horticulturalist and a founder of the Southern California Horticultural Association. La Puente High School is a public high school in La Puente, California, located in the San Gabriel Valley, serving grades 9–12. It was established in 1915. It is one of six high schools (including two alternative schools) in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. It is a California Distinguished School and about 80% of seniors graduate every year.
