''Gravity the Seducer'' is the fifth studio album by English electronic music band Ladytron. It was released on 12 September 2011 by Nettwerk. Recorded in Kent, England, the album has been described as "haunted, evocative, romantic", and having "a feminine warmth". Three singles have been released from the album, "White Elephant", "Ambulances" and "Mirage". The song "Ace of Hz" had previously been released as a single from the greatest hits album ''Best of 00–10'' before appearing on ''Gravity the Seducer''. Release of the album coincided with a tour across Canada and the United States. Ladytron
Ladytron are a largely British electronic band formed in Liverpool in 1999. The group consists of Helen Marnie (lead vocals, synthesizers), Mira Aroyo (vocals, synthesizers), Daniel Hunt (synthesizers, guitar, vocals), and Reuben Wu (synthesizers). They have released six studio albums: '' 604'' (2001), '' Light & Magic'' (2002), ''Witching Hour'' (2005), '' Velocifero'' (2008), '' Gravity the Seducer'' (2011) and '' Ladytron'' (2019) - the seventh, ''Time's Arrow'' is due in January 2023. Callanish
Callanish ( gd, Calanais) is a village (township) on the west side of the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides (Western Isles), Scotland. Callanish is within the parish of Uig. A linear settlement with a jetty, it is on a headland jutting into Loch Roag, a sea loch west of Stornoway. Callanish is situated alongside the A858, between Breasclete and Garynahine. Callanish Stones
The Callanish Stones (or "Callanish I": gd, Clachan Chalanais or ) are an arrangement of standing stones placed in a cruciform pattern with a central stone circle. They were erected in the late Neolithic era, and were a focus for ritual activity during the Bronze Age. They are near the village of Callanish (Gaelic: ) on the west coast of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Hipgnosis were an English art design group based in London, that specialised in creating album cover artwork for rock musicians and bands. Their commissions included work for Pink Floyd, T. Helen Marnie (born 21 February 1978) is a Scottish musician, known as the lead vocalist and one of the keyboardists and songwriters of the electronic music, electronic band Ladytron. In 2012, she started a solo career as Marnie and released her debut solo album ''Crystal World'' on 11 June 2013. Her second solo album, ''Strange Words and Weird Wars'', was released on 2 June 2017. Biography Helen Marnie was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and grew up in the same city. She is a classically trained pianist.
