Miquel Soler
Miquel Soler Sarasols (born 16 March 1965) is a Spanish retired football player and manager. Mainly a left back who could also operate as a wide midfielder, his career spanned two La Liga decades (with nearly 700 competitive matches), and he was the only player to represent both Barcelona and Madrid main teams. Soler appeared for Spain at Euro 1988. Club career Born in Girona, Catalonia, Soler was a RCD Espanyol youth graduate, making his first-team – and La Liga – debut in the 1983–84 season and going on to become an essential element after a loan to neighbouring CE L'Hospitalet. In his fourth year, as the club finished third after the second stage, he appeared in 41 out of 42 games and scored two goals, going on to help it reach the final of the 1988 UEFA Cup, netting in the first leg (3–0 home win) as the ''Pericos'' eventually lost on penalties against Bayer 04 Leverkusen. RCD Mallorca B, S.A.D. is a Spanish football team based in Palma, Majorca, in the Balearic Islands. UEFA Europa League
The UEFA Europa League (abbreviated as UEL, or sometimes, UEFA EL), formerly the UEFA Cup, is an annual football club competition organised since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. The 1988 UEFA Cup Final was an association football tie played on 4 May 1988 and 18 May 1988 between RCD Español of Spain and Bayer Leverkusen of West Germany, to determine the champion of the 1987–88 UEFA Cup competition. The 1987–88 UEFA Cup was won by Bayer Leverkusen on penalty kicks over Español. It was the third season of English clubs being barred from this and indeed all European competitions as the sequel of the Heysel disaster of May 1985. 1986–87 La Liga
The 1986–87 La Liga season, the 56th since its establishment, started on August 30, 1986, and finished on June 21, 1987. Real Madrid retained the title, but this time finished just a single point ahead of Barcelona compared to 11 points a year earlier.
