Doctor Minerva (Minn-Erva) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She first appeared in '' Captain Marvel'' #50 (May 1977), created by writer Scott Edelman and artist Al Milgrom. Doctor Minerva is a Kree geneticist. She was an enemy of the original Captain Marvel and later Quasar. She became the partner of Captain Atlas and a member of Kree superteam Starforce. Gemma Chan portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film '' Captain Marvel'' (2019). ''Captain Marvel'' is a 2019 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the character Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel. "Operation: Galactic Storm" is a 19-part comic book crossover storyline which ran through Marvel Comics' Avengers related titles – ''Avengers'', '' Avengers West Coast'', ''Captain America'', ''Iron Man'', ''Thor'', ''Wonder Man'', and ''Quasar'' – between March and May 1992.
