Zagreb
Zagreb ( , , , ) is the capital (political), capital and List of cities and towns in Croatia#List of cities and towns, largest city of Croatia. Gari Cappelli
Gari Cappelli () (born 16 May 1961) is a Croatian politician who had served as the Minister of Tourism in the Cabinet of Andrej Plenković from 2016 to 2020. He also served as mayor of Mali Lošinj between 2005 and 2016. Early life Cappelli was born on 16 May 1961 in Mali Lošinj in a family with origins from Padua, Italy. Political career Cappelli joined HDZ in 1992 and soon became the head of Mali Lošinj's HDZ town committee and started work in the county party committee. In 1999, due to his perfect knowledge of the Italian language, he was posted at the Croatian Consulate General in the Italian city of Trieste, where he was in charge of economic co-operation. In 2005, Cappelli is running for Mayor of Mali Lošinj and has been performing for the third term for this position. The Croatian Peasant Party ( hr, Hrvatska seljačka stranka, HSS) is an agrarian political party in Croatia founded on 22 December 1904 by Antun and Stjepan Radić as Croatian Peoples' Peasant Party (HPSS). The Brothers Radić believed that the realization of Croatian statehood was possible within Austria-Hungary, but that it had to be reformed as a Monarchy divided into three equal parts – Austria, Hungary, Croatia. After the creation of Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1918, Party requested for the Croatian part of the Kingdom to be based on self-determination. This brought them great public support which culminated in 1920 parliamentary election when HPSS won all 58 seats assigned to Croatia. Božidar Kalmeta (; born 15 January 1958) is a Croatian politician and member of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party. From 2003 to 2011 he served in the Croatian Government as Croatia's Minister of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure under HDZ prime ministers Ivo Sanader and Jadranka Kosor. The kuna is the currency of Croatia, in use since 1994 (sign: kn; code: HRK). It is subdivided into 100 lipa. The kuna is issued by the Croatian National Bank and the coins are minted by the Croatian Mint. The plural form of the word kuna in Croatian can be ''kuna'' or ''kune'' (e.g. ''2 kune'', ''10 kuna'') because of different number declension rules. 2022 will be the final year for the kuna as Croatia will replace it with the euro (€, EUR) on 1 January 2023.
