Ministry Of Industry, Trade And Marketing, Of Tanzania
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is a government ministry of Tanzania. Its offices are located in Dar es Salaam. The Minister is Kitila Mkumbo. History The Ministry was previously renamed to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment under John Magufuli, seemingly absorbing the investment role previously undertaken by the Prime Minister's Office for Investment and Empowerment. In January 2019, the Prime Minister's office reabsorbed the responsibility for investments with the appointment of Angellah Jasmine Kairuki to the new role. Following this, the Ministry renamed back to Industry and Trade. Politics Of Tanzania
The politics of Tanzania takes place in a framework of a unitary presidential democratic republic, whereby the President of Tanzania is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. The party system is dominated by the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (''Revolutionary State Party''). The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. Dodoma
Dodoma ( in Gogo), officially Dodoma City, is the national capital of Tanzania and the capital of the Dodoma Region, with a population of 410,956. In 1974, the Tanzanian government announced that the capital would be moved to Dodoma for social and economic reasons and to centralise the capital within the country. It became the official capital in 1996. Much of the initial design did not come to fruition for a long time. As a result, Dar es Salaam remains the commercial capital of Tanzania and still retains the state house Ikulu, and a large number of government functions. Kitila Mkumbo
Kitila Alexander Kanyama Mkumbo is a Tanzanian politician and an academic professor. Career He is a founder and director of Maarifa Research and Training Associates, a not-for-profit non-government institution that engages in provision of research, consultancy and training services in a wide range of areas in education and social sciences. As a director of this institute, he leads a team of seven researchers and consultants. He is also an adjunct professor at the Tumaini University Dar es Salaam College, where he is engaged in teaching and research on parttime basis. John Magufuli
John Pombe Joseph Magufuli (29 October 1959 – 17 March 2021) was the fifth president of Tanzania, serving from 2015 until his death in 2021. Angellah Jasmine Mbelwa Kairuki (born 10 September 1976) is a Tanzanian politician belonging to the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi. On October 2, 2022 she has been appointed as a Minister in Presidents Offfice Region Administration and Local Government (PoRALG). In her last cabinet appointment she was the Minister of State in the President's Office.
