Andorra La Vella
Andorra la Vella french: Andorre-la-Vieille is the capital of the Principality of Andorra. It is located high in the east Pyrenees, between France and Spain. Maria Ubach i Font (born 14 June 1973) is an Andorran diplomat, serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs since 17 June 2017 under the governments of Prime Minister Antoni Martí and the current Head Xavier Espot. In 1998 she obtained a degree in economics from the University of Toulouse II-Le Mirail and a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne. The politics of Andorra take place in a framework of a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, and a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government, with the Head of Government of Andorra as chief executive. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature. Before 1993, Andorra's political system had no clear division of powers into executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
