Ministry Of Defence (Sweden)
The Ministry of Defence ( sv, Försvarsdepartementet) is a Swedish government ministry responsible for the national defence policy. The Ministry of Defence has existed in its present form since 1 July 1920. It has been located at its present premises at Jakobsgatan 9 at Gustaf Adolfs torg, Stockholm, since 1966. The ministry has a staff of 131 (2020): political advisers, officials, assistants, clerical officers, military advisers in military issues, etc. The ministry is headed by the Minister of Defence, currently Pål Jonson ( M). Ministry Of Land Defence
Ministry of Land Defence ( sv, Lantförsvarsdepartementet) was in a broad sense, one of the eight ministries, in which the Swedish government administration was divided into. Its head was called Minister of War. The Ministry of Land Defence Department was established on 16 May 1840 and was merged with the Ministry for Naval Affairs into the newly established Ministry of Defence on 30 June 1920. The cases, previously handled by the War Office (''Krigsexpeditionen''), were now divided between the Ministry of Land Defence and the Ministry for Naval Affairs. The government agencies in Sweden are state-controlled organizations that act independently to carry out the policies of the Government of Sweden. The ministries are relatively small and merely policy-making organizations, allowed to monitor the agencies and preparing decision and policy papers for the government as a collective body to decide upon. A Cabinet Minister is explicitly prohibited from interfering with the day-to-day operation in an agency or the outcome in individual cases. Moderate Party
The Moderate Party ( sv, Moderata samlingspartiet , ; M), commonly referred to as the Moderates ( ), is a liberal-conservative political party in Sweden. The party generally supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism. Gustav Adolfs Torg, Stockholm
Gustav Adolfs torg is a public square in central Stockholm, Sweden. Description The square is located in the district of Norrmalm, where Strömgatan, Fredsgatan, Malmtorgsgatan and Regeringsgatan meet. The site was named after King Gustav II Adolf. In the middle of the square there is a statue of Gustav II Adolf by the French-born, Swedish sculptor Pierre Hubert L'Archevêque (1721–1778) which was erected in 1796. The square is home to the Royal Opera, Arvfurstens palats (housing the Ministry for Foreign Affairs) and the Ministry of Defence.
