Minea Blomqvist
Minea "Minni" Blomqvist, (born 12 March 1985 in Espoo, Finland) is a professional golfer who played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour in the early 2000s. She won twice on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Blomqvist was a member of the Finnish National Ladies Team from 2001 to 2003 and played in the 2002 Espirito Santo Trophy World Amateur Golf Team Championships. She was a two-time member of the European PING Junior Solheim Cup Team in 2002 and 2003 winning all her matches in the winning 2003 side and she represented Europe in the 2003 Vagliano Trophy. She played as an amateur on the Swedish Golf Tour four times in 2000 and 2001 missing the cut each time. In 2002, she played in three Swedish Golf Tour events and recorded two top twenty finishes plus a win at the Sparbanken Ladies Open. 2013 Women's British Open
The 2013 Ricoh Women's British Open was played 1–4 August at the Old Course at St Andrews in St Andrews, Scotland. It was the 37th Women's British Open, and the 13th as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. It was the second Women's British Open at St Andrews, the first was six years earlier in 2007. Emma Zackrisson
Emma Zackrisson (born 26 January 1979) is a former Swedish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour 2003–2011. She won the 2008 Open de España Femenino. Amateur career Zackrisson attended Oklahoma State University 1998–2002 where she played with the Oklahoma State Cowgirls golf team and majored in broadcast journalism and public relations. She won twice as a senior, including the Big 12 Championship. The Ladies Central European Open was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour (LET) from 2004 to 2006. In 2006 it was the only LET event that is actually played in Europe that is held east of the former Iron Curtain. It was first played in 2004 and is hosted by Old Lake Golf Club, Tata, Hungary. The Ladies Finnish Masters was a women's professional golf tournament on the Ladies European Tour held in Helsinki, Finland, between 2005 and 2011. In 2006 Finnair, the country's largest airline, became title sponsor and it changed name to the Finnair Masters. The 54-hole tournament was played every year at the Helsinki Golf Club and with a purse of €200,000 had one of the smaller prize funds on the tour. Riikka Hakkarainen
Riikka Hakkarainen (born 23 May 1977) is a Finnish professional golfer who played on the Ladies European Tour between 1998 and 2011. She won the 2006 Tenerife Ladies Open. Amateur career Hakkarainen was born in Espoo, Finland, and played for the Finnish National Ladies Team from the age of 15. LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. There can be up to four stages to negotiate, each of them like a regular golf tournament with only a small number of players going on to the next stage.
