Mindrage
Mindrage was an American Christian metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas. The band was compared to Living Sacrifice and Soulfly in a review with another fellow Christian metal band Nailed Promise, who Mindrage did a split with. In 2002, the band broke up. Vocalist and guitarist John LeCompt went on to join Evanescence in 2003. Before forming Mindrage, original drummer Chad Wilburn formed Society's Finest. Second drummer Justin Carder later joined Machina, a band that LeCompt was also in. Nailed Promise
Nailed Promise is a Christian metal band from Fort Worth, Texas. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Nathan Garcia, drummer Matthew Miller, and brothers, guitarist Travis Brown and bassist Ryan Brown. The band signed to Rescue Records, a record label owned by Noah Bernardo Sr. with bands including Point of Recognition, Dogwood, and P.O.D. The band was active from 1994/1995 until 2001-2002. John LeCompt
John Charles LeCompt (born March 10, 1973) is an American guitarist who has been part of the Little Rock metal music since the mid-1990s. He played rhythm guitar for the rock band Evanescence from 2003 to 2007. One of LeCompt's main collaborators is long-time friend musician Rocky Gray. They both are members of the rock bands Machina and We Are the Fallen. Career His first commercial endeavor was the Christian metal band Mindrage, in which he performed as both lead vocalist and lead guitarist. Enlisted for the project was Nick Williams on bass and Chad Wilburn on drums. Mindrage signed to Bulletproof Records and in June 1998 recorded the studio album '' Sown In Weakness, Raised In Power'', consisting of eleven tracks. Their second album was a split EP with band Nailed Promise featuring four tracks released on Pluto Records. For this album, Justin Carder replaced Wilburn on drums. Pluto Records
Pluto Records is a record label started in 1999 by Eric Shirey and Brian Cobbel. Since 2002, it has been owned and operated by Brian Cobbel and based near Dallas, TX. It is primarily known for punk, metal and hardcore releases, although not exclusively. The label has been home and launching pad to such bands as Grammy-nominated metal act As I Lay Dying, HORSE the band, Luti-Kriss ( Norma Jean), Society's Finest and more. Pluto Records is currently a member of the Warner Music Group division of East West Records. History As I Lay Dying released their debut album, '' Beneath the Encasing of Ashes'' on Pluto Records in 2001 and also a split album with the band American Tragedy in 2002. Machina (band)
Future Leaders of the World is a rock band formed in 2003. The band released their debut album, '' LVL IV'' in 2004, before going through a period of being named Machina, featuring former Evanescence members guitarist John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray. After a hiatus, the band reformed in 2014 and released another album under the "Future Leaders of the World" name, ''Reveal'', in March 2015. History Formation and ''LVL IV'' Future Leaders of the World was formed by guitarist and singer Phil Taylor, who formed the group in Buffalo, New York with drummer Carl Messina and bassist Toby Cole. Taylor recorded a demo with Shawn Rivera of Az Yet and executive producer Allan Fray in Los Angeles. At a later time, Jake Stutevoss was also added on guitar. Living Sacrifice
Living Sacrifice is an American Christian metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a groove metal and metalcore style beginning with ''Reborn'' (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. In 2003, the group disbanded due to other projects and later their label, Solid State, released their best-of album, ''In Memoriam'' (2005). In 2008, Living Sacrifice reformed and released a two-song digital only single called ''Death Machine''. They then began working on ''The Infinite Order'' which was released on January 26, 2010. Evanescence
Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer and musician Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. After recording independent EPs as a duo in the late 90's, and a demo CD, Evanescence released their debut studio album, ''Fallen'', on Wind-up Records in 2003. Propelled by the success of hit singles "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal", ''Fallen'' sold more than four million copies in the US by January 2004, garnering the band two Grammy Awards out of six nominations. Society's Finest
Society's Finest is a metalcore band from Dallas, Texas. Their first full-length album, '' The Journey...So Far'', was released on Solid State Records in May 2000. Due to member changes and personal matters the band took a break from touring and recording to focus on their personal lives. During this hiatus, vocalist Josh Ashworth toured with the metalcore band Zao. When re-forming in 2004, the band joined Hand of Hope Records. With this label, they released '' Love, Murder, and a Three Letter Word'' in mid-2004. It contained new songs, along with old songs from their debut EP, ''Private Conflicts and Suicides'' (Pluto Records). Their third album, '' And I, the Drunkard'', was released in June 2006.
