Mindaugas Rojus
Mindaugas Rojus (born 24 January 1981 in Darbėnai, Kretinga district, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian opera singer (tenor / baritone), a soloist of Klaipėda State Music Theatre, and a member of a stage duo ''Žemaitijos perlai'' (Samogitia's Pearls). Biography Graduated high school of Darbėnai. In Klaipėda, Stasys Šimkus Conservatory he studied choral conducting (class of A. Purlienė) and solo singing (class of V. Balsytė). In 2001 and 2002, attended the Lithuanian Academy of Music preparatory studies (class of prof. Vladimiras Prudnikovas). Since 2004, he studied at Klaipėda University's Faculty of Arts Singing Department (class of M. Gylys, prof. Eduardas Kaniava), gained a master's degree. He has two siblings – a younger sister, Sandra, and an older brother, Rimantas. With Klaipėda State Music Theatre ballerina Viktorija Gulnickaja has a son Augustinas Rojus (born June 9, 2010). Darbėnai
Darbėnai is a small town in Klaipėda County, in northwestern Lithuania. According to the 2011 census, the town has a population of 1,461 people. It is located 16 km north of Kretinga. Darbėnai is the capital of Darbėnai eldership. History Darbėnai was first mentioned in 1591 but it is thought that the village was established in 1566 during the Wallach reform. According to Simonas Daukantas in 1550 it was still a Palanga forest (''Palangos giria''). In 1621 Jan Karol Chodkiewicz built the first wooden church in the town. In 1701 the duke of Courland granted the privilege of trade to the town which was confirmed by the king Augustus II the Strong. Since 1730 Darbėnai was started to call a town. George Gershwin
George Gershwin (; born Jacob Gershwine; September 26, 1898 – July 11, 1937) was an American composer and pianist whose compositions spanned popular, jazz and classical genres. ''Wiener Blut'' ('' Viennese Blood'' or ''Viennese Spirit'') is an operetta named after the " Wiener Blut" waltz, supposedly with music by the composer Johann Strauss the Younger, who did not live to witness the première. Such was the popularity of the original "Wiener Blut" Op. 354 waltz until the time of the composer's death that his work would be chosen as the name of the operetta with libretto by Victor Léon and Leo Stein set around the Vienna Congress of 1814 to 1815. Paul Abraham ( hu, Ábrahám Pál, links=no; 2 November 1892 – 6 May 1960) was a Jewish-Hungarian composer of operettas, who scored major successes in the German-speaking world. His specialty – and own innovation – was the insertion of jazz interludes into operettas. Abraham was born in Apatin, Austria-Hungary (today Serbia), and studied at the Royal National Hungarian Academy of Music in Budapest from 1910 to 1916.
