Asunafo North Municipal District
Asunafo North Municipal District is one of the six districts in Ahafo Region, Ghana. It was formerly part of the then-larger Asunafo District from 1988 until the southern part of the district was split off by a decree of president John Agyekum Kufuor on 12 November 2003 (effectively 17 February 2004) to become Asunafo South District. The remaining norther part was renamed as Asunafo North District which was later elevated to municipal status on 29 February 2008 to become Asunafo North Municipal District. Education In Ghana
Before the arrival of European settlers, who introduced a formal education system addressed to the elites, education in Ghana was mainly informal and based on apprenticeship. Economic activities in pre-colonial Ghana were based on farm produce shared within households and members of each household specialized in providing necessities such as cooking utilities, shelter, clothing, and furniture, and trade with other households was therefore practiced on a very small scale. Collins Dauda
Alhaji Collins Dauda (born 13 February 1957) is a teacher, politician, former Ghanaian Minister for Lands and Natural Resources; and Water Resources, Works and Housing. Early life and education Collins Dauda was born on 13 February 1957 in Mehame in the Ahafo region (formerly, Brong Ahafo Region). He hails from Mehame in the Brong-Ahafo Region of Ghana. His parents were Issaka Naaba and Mariama Issah. His secondary education was at Mim Senior High School where he obtained both the GCE Ordinary Level and the GCE Advanced Level between 1973 and 1981. The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is a type of standardized test in West Africa. Students who pass the exam receive a certificate confirming their graduation from secondary education. It is administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
