Milwaukee County Federated Library System
The Milwaukee County Federated Library System (MCFLS) is a public library organization that coordinates activities between its member public libraries, which collectively serve the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is governed by a board of trustees and funded by the State of Wisconsin and each member library. Purpose The MCFLS provides a number of useful services to any person who is a member of one of its libraries. These services allow the person to use any member library as if they belonged to it, such as searching all libraries' collection through a common catalog system, checking out any library's materials through the internet, and requesting them to be delivered to a closer library. Bayside, Wisconsin
Bayside is a village in Milwaukee and Ozaukee counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 4,482 at the 2020 census. Of this, 4,378 were in Milwaukee County, and only 104 were in Ozaukee County. Geography Bayside is located at (43.180275, -87.904735). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , all of it land. Lake Michigan borders the eastern edge of Bayside. Most of the village is in Milwaukee County, but a small portion at the end of Lake Drive bordering Fish Creek is in Ozaukee County. Whitefish Bay is a village in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 14,954 at the 2020 census. History In the early 19th century when the first white settlers arrived, the Whitefish Bay area was controlled by Native Americans, including the Menominee, Potawatomi, and Sauk people. The area came under the control of the United States Federal Government in 1832 when the Menominee surrendered their claims to the land by signing the '' Treaty of Washington''. West Allis is a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. A suburb of Milwaukee, it is part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Wauwatosa
Wauwatosa (; known informally as Tosa; originally Wau-wau-too-sa or Hart's Mill) is a city in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 48,387 at the 2020 census. Wauwatosa is located immediately west of Milwaukee, and is a part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. It is named after the Potawatomi Chief Wauwataesie and the Potawatomi word for firefly. History In the early 19th century, the River Hills area was controlled by Native Americans, including the Menominee, Potawatomi, and Sauk people.
