Milko Bjelica
Milko Bjelica ( sr-cyr, Милко Бјелица; born June 4, 1984) is a Serbian-born Montenegrin professional basketball player for Al-Ittihad Jeddah of the Saudi Premier League. Professional career He began his professional career with Crvena zvezda, where he spent five seasons. He then played in Germany with Phantoms Braunschweig and Köln 99ers. In 2008 he signed with Lietuvos rytas, and made his EuroLeague debut during the 2009–10 season. In July 2011 he signed a two-year deal with Saski Baskonia. On October 28, 2013, he re-signed with Saski Baskonia on a short-term deal. On December 30, 2013, he signed with the Turkish Euroleague team Anadolu Efes for the remainder of the season. On July 9, 2014, he extended his contract with Efes for two more years. On June 22, 2015, he left Efes and signed with Darüşşafaka for the 2015–16 season. LKL All-Star Game
The LKL All-Star Game is the All-Star Game of the professional Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). The game is held once every year. The participants of the game are chosen in two ways: the first is via fan ballot, with the leading vote recipients at each position starting the game; secondly the reserves are chosen by a vote among the head coaches of each squad. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players. If a player is injured, and cannot participate, the league's commissioner will select a replacement. Features The All-Star Game is played under normal FIBA rules, but there are notable differences from an average game. The player introductions are usually accompanied by a significant amount of fanfare, including lighting effects, dance music, and pyrotechnics. Baltic Basketball League
Baltic Basketball League (BBL) was the Baltic states basketball league founded in 2004. The league mainly focused on teams from the Baltic states, but teams from Sweden, Russia, Kazakhstan, Finland, and Belarus have participated in the Baltic League. After the 2017–18 season, the league announced that it was suspending its operations. History For the 2015–16 season, the format of the BBL included a regular season composed by two groups of seven teams that competed in a round-robin competition system, with each team facing their opponent twice. LKF Cup
The LKF Cup was an annual national domestic cup competition for Lithuanian professional basketball teams. It was organised by the Lithuanian Basketball Federation (Lietuvos Krepšinio Federacija - LKF). The competition's full name was Lietuvos Krepšinio Federacija Taurė (English: Lithuanian Basketball Federation Cup). Before 2007, the LKF Cup wasn't held regularly, but after that, its finals were organised every January, February, or March. Between 2007 and 2014, the competition was played between teams from the LKL, the NKL, and the RKL. In 2015, the LKF decided to change the competition format, and it was then played between the top eight qualified teams of the LKL, after the first half of the season. Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) (''English'': Lithuanian Basketball League), also known as Betsafe LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional men's club basketball league in Lithuania. 2008–09 Eurocup Basketball
2008–09 Eurocup Basketball was the seventh edition of Europe's second-tier level transnational competition for men's professional basketball clubs, the EuroCup, and the first to be contested under the Eurocup name. From the inception of the competition in 2002, it had been known as the ULEB Cup. The EuroCup is the European-wide league level that is one tier below the EuroLeague level. During this season, there were 48 teams, from 22 countries. After the preliminary rounds, there were 32 teams left for the regular season, with the 16 eliminated teams being relegated down and parachuting into Europe's third-tier transnational competition, the EuroChallenge. The 2016–17 Basketball League of Serbia season is the 11th season of the Basketball League of Serbia, the highest professional basketball league in Serbia. It is also 73rd national championship played by Serbian clubs inclusive of nation's previous incarnations as Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro. The first half of the season consists of 14 teams and 182–game regular season (26 games for each of the 14 teams) began on October 8, 2016, and ended on April 12, 2017. The Basketball League of Serbia ( sr, Кошаркашка лига Србије, Košarkaška liga Srbije; abbr. КЛС or KLS), is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS).
