Milivoj Karakašević
Milivoj Karakašević (30 July 1948 – 26 March 2022) was a Serbian international table tennis player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1970s and 1980s. Table tennis career With the Yugoslav men's team, he won gold at the 1976 European Championships. In addition he won two silver medals and three bronze medals; in 1970 and 1972, he won silver in the team event and in 1974 and 1982, he won bronze, while he also won bronze in doubles in 1978 with Zoran Kosanović. In the World Table Tennis Championships he won a bronze medal in 1971 and a silver medal in 1975 in the team event for Yugoslavia. Personal life His son is the Serbian table tennis champion Aleksandar Karakašević. Aleksandar Karakašević
Aleksandar Karakašević ( sr-cyr, Александар Каракашевић; born 9 December 1975) is a Serbian table tennis player. His powerful backhand has helped him win against some of the top players in the world. He won a bronze medal at the 2011 European Championship. One of his greatest results achieved in USA is his victory at the US Open Championship in July 2007, where he established himself as a world class athlete, winning the tournament title for the 3rd time by defeating Kurashima Yosuke from Japan with the result of 4:0. In 2020 at the age of 45 he is still playing in German Bundesliga (first German division) representing TTC ZUGBRÜCKE GRENZAU. Karakašević competed at the 1996, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics. Zoran Kosanović
Zoran Kosanović ( sr-cyr, Зоран Косановић; January 16, 1956 – February 4, 1998) was a Serbian Canadian table tennis player. Career Career in Yugoslavia Kosanović represented Yugoslavia in all five world championships from 1973 to 1981 (in 1975, he won silver medal at the World Championship). In 1976, he was European Champion in Prague. With his doubles partner Milivoj Karakašević, he reached the European Championship semifinal in 1978. In the Balkan Championships, he won 11 titles. From 1975 to 1979, he was the Yugoslav champion five times. His highest ranking in the ITTF World Ranking was 7th place. Career in Canada In September 1979, Kosanović moved to Toronto. In 1981, he won the North American Championship and in 1982 the US Open. At the 1983 World Championship in Tokyo, he represented Canada.
