Atanda Musa
Atanda Ganiyu Musa (born 3 February 1960) is a Nigerian table tennis player. He represented Nigeria at two Summer Olympics in 1988 and 1992, taking part in both the singles and doubles events. He was once ranked 20th in the world at his peak. In 1982, he won the table tennis singles event at the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships (in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia), before partnering with Sunday Eboh to take the doubles gold in the same discipline. Along with Francis Sule, Atanda, again, won the table tennis doubles gold medal at the 1985 Commonwealth Games. He achieved a clean sweep of gold in each of the singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles events representing Nigeria at the 1987 All-Africa Games and then, in 1991, with Bose Kaffo as partner, he won the Commonwealth Games' Mixed Doubles event for table tennis. Timo Boll
Timo Boll (, ; born 8 March 1981) is a German professional table tennis player, who currently plays for Borussia Düsseldorf. He is ranked second in the German Table Tennis National League, and fifteen in the ITTF world rankings as of October 2022. Boll ranks among the best German table tennis players of all time, having ranked world No. 1 in 2003, 2011 and in March 2018. Childhood Boll was born in Erbach im Odenwald, Hessen. Boll started playing at age 4, and was coached at the time by his father. In 1987, he became a member of TSV Höchst. At age 8, he was discovered by Helmut Hampel, a Hessian trainer who promoted him. Buddy Blattner
Robert Garnett "Buddy" Blattner (February 8, 1920 – September 4, 2009), was an American table tennis and professional baseball player. He played five seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), primarily for the New York Giants. After his retirement as a player, he became a radio and television sportscaster. Richard Bergmann
Richard Bergmann (10 April 1919 – 5 April 1970) was an Austrian and British international table tennis player. Winner of seven World Championships, including four Singles, one Men's Doubles, two Team's titles and 22 medals in total. He is considered to be one of the greatest players in history, only Viktor Barna has won more World Championship gold medals in singles. Table tennis career His 22 World Championship medals include seven gold medals; two in the men's team, one in the men's doubles at the 1936 World Table Tennis Championships with Viktor Barna and four times in the singles at the 1937, 1939, 1948 and 1950. Ulf Bengtsson (26 January 1960 – 17 March 2019) was a Swedish table tennis player and coach. From 1983 to 1988 he won several medals in singles, doubles, and team events at the European Championships, two silver medals with the Swedish team in the World Table Tennis Championships, he also achieved the third place at the Table Tennis World Cup in 1984. Laszlo Bellak
Laszlo Bellak (February 12, 1911 – September 20, 2006) was a Hungarian and American table tennis player. Table tennis career He represented Hungary 59 times in international competition. He won 21 medals at the World Championships, seven of which were gold. This included six wins as a member of the Hungarian National Team that won the Swaythling Cup in 1928, 1930, 1931, 1934, 1935, and 1938. Bellak moved to the United States at the start of World War II, and enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in India and Burma. He was decorated three times, and was honorably discharged with the Victory Medal, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He won the U.S. Men’s Singles title in 1938, the U.S. Men’s Doubles in 1937, 1939, and 1943, and the U.S. Mixed Doubles in 1941. He also won three English Open titles. Patrick Baum (born 23 June 1987 in Worms, Germany) is a male table tennis player from Germany. He won the singles title at the 2005 World Junior Table Tennis Championships. Since 2008, he has won several medals in singles and team events in the World Table Tennis Championships, in the Table Tennis World Cup, and in the Table Tennis European Championships. Chester Barnes
George "Chester" Barnes (27 January 1947 – 18 March 2021) was an English table tennis champion, who was England No. 1 player for many years during the 1960s and 1970s. When he retired from professional table tennis he took up a post with the Martin Pipe racing stables as an assistant to the racehorse trainer. Early life Barnes was born in a maternity home in Forest Gate, Greater London, on 27 January 1947. When he was about a year old his family moved to live on a farm near Basingstoke, Hampshire.
