Military College Murree
Military College Murree or MCM, is a military high school, located at Upper Topa, Murree Tehsil, District Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It was inaugurated by COAS Gen.Ashfaq Pervaiz Kiyani NI(M),HI on 1st of September, 2008. Military College Murree is one of the three military colleges in Pakistan. The institution is a feeder college to the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul. History The college's foundation stone was laid on 1 September 2008 by the General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. Cadet life The students are called cadets. Cadets take part in sports such as field hockey, football, basketball, volleyball, squash, tennis and horse riding. Fitness activities include judo, karate, gymnastics, jogging and running. Physical training (PT) is conducted in the morning and sports in the evening. Students are taught drill and shooting. Pakistan Military Academy
Pakistan Military Academy ( ur, ), also referred to by its acronym PMA. PMA is an officers training school located near Kakul village in the city and district of Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa established in 1947. It is the sole service academy in Pakistan tasked with transforming cadets into Army Officers. For educational training, the institution is accredited by NUST. Cadets have to go through 2 years of rigorous military training until they can finally be termed an Officer. Pakistan Military Academy provides training to Gentlemen Cadets (Officer Cadets) of Pakistan Army and Allied countries. The academy has four training battalions, and 16 companies. Approximately 2,000 invited guests from over 34 countries visit this institution each year. Raja Aziz Bhatti
Major Raja Aziz Bhatti ( pa, ; ur, ; 6 August 1928– 12 September 1965) born as Aziz Ahmad but usually known as Raja Aziz Bhatti, was a Pakistan Army officer. He was awarded the ''Nishan-e-Haider'' for his actions of valour during the Battle of Burki in the Indo-Pak War of 1965. He is revered as a hero of the 1965 war in Pakistan, till this day. Prior to gaining officer's commission in the Pakistan Army, Major Bhatti served in the Pakistan Air Force as an enlisted man and left the air force as a Corporal in a favor of transferring to the Army. Karnal Sher Khan
Karnal Sher Khan (1 January 1970 – 5 July 1999) was a military officer of the Pakistan Army. He was one of only eleven recipients of the Nishan-e-Haider. He was a captain in the 27th Sindh Regiment of the Pakistan Army and later was posted to 12th NLI Regiment during the Kargil Conflict. He was killed in action during the Kargil War. For his bravery during the Kargil War, he was awarded Nishan-e-Haider, which is Pakistan's highest military gallantry award. His name is the localised form of the rank Colonel. Lalak Jan
Havaldar Lalak Jan ( ur, ) (April 1967 – July 1999) was a soldier of Pakistan Army belonging to Northern Light Infantry regiment. He was killed in action during the Kargil war. For his bravery, he was awarded Pakistan's highest military gallantry award, Nishan-e-Haider. Lalak Jan hailed from Yasin Valley, village name Hundur, in Gilgit-Baltistan which is a province of Pakistan. Early life Lalak Jan was born on 1 April 1967 at Yasin, in the Gupis-Yasin District, of Gilgit-Baltistan. After completing his education, he joined the Pakistan Army on 10 December 1984 and eventually rose up to rank of Havaldar. Naik (military rank), Naik Muhammad Mahfuz (born 25 October 1944) was a Pakistani soldier, who was awarded the Nishan-e-Haider, the highest military award of Pakistan, after he was Killed in action, killed in battle during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Pakistan Army Armoured Corps
The Armoured Corps ( ur, ﺁرمرڈ كور) of the Pakistan Army is a combat branch tasked with armoured warfare. Equipped with more than 3,742 main battle tanks, the corps is headquartered in the garrison town of Nowshera, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The corps has only administrative control of its component regiments.
