Miles Away (band)
Miles Away is an Australian hardcore punk band from Perth, Western Australia, formed in 2002. History Miles Away was formed in mid-2002 by Cam Jose and Adam Crowe who had a bunch of songs they wanted to use for an old school hardcore band. They then drafted in Chris Unsworth, the drummer from Adam's first band Alleged and Perth stalwart/enigma Dion, formerly of Boredumb and From The Ruins to play the bass. Nick Horsnell joined up on vocals in late 2002 to complete the puzzle. At this time the band was going under the name Burning Bridges, until they found a US band with the same name. With each of the members big fans of the mid to late 1990s positive old school hardcore comeback (i.e. Floorpunch, Ten Yard Fight, In My Eyes, Reach The Sky, Fastbreak etc.) the aim was to create a band that kids could stage dive and finger point to, while also fusing in elements of new school hardcore. Bane (band)
Bane was an American hardcore punk band that began in 1995 as a side project between Aaron Dalbec (then of Converge) and Damon Bellorado. Dalbec approached Matt Firestone to sing and they played under the moniker of Gateway for a few shows, before Firestone parted ways to focus on other projects. Dalbec then approached Aaron Bedard (who had previously sung for the Worcester, Massachusetts hardcore band Backbone) about singing for Bane. They went into the studio in December 1995 with a few friends and released a five-song demo. The next year saw the release of their first EP, and many shows throughout central Massachusetts. In early 1997, Bane released ''Free to Think, Free to Be'' EP, and in 1998 the band released the '' Holding This Moment'' 7" and CD collection, and embarked upon their first US tour. Defeater is an American melodic hardcore band from Massachusetts, formed in 2004 within the Boston hardcore scene. To date they have released five full-length albums, two EPs and three singles. The band lineup consists of Derek Archambault (vocals), Jake Woodruff (guitar), Joe Longobardi (drums) and Mike Poulin (bass). All of the band's works have been released via Bridge 9 Records, aside from the album '' Travels'', which was initially released via Topshelf Records, but was later reissued on Bridge 9 Records. The Carrier was an American melodic hardcore band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States, which formed in 2006. In 2006, the band self-released their debut demo whom they recorded with Jay Maas at the Getaway Group Studios. After a year of playing shows, in the summer of 2007 the band teamed up with Words of War Records to release a self-titled 7". In the winter of 2007, the band released its first full-length record entitled "One Year Later" on Rock Vegas Records. Modern Life Is War is an American hardcore punk band formed in Marshalltown, Iowa in 2002. During Modern Life Is War's six-year original run, the band released three full-length albums and one self-titled 7" EP.
