Mikhail Ulibin
Mikhail Vitalyevich Ulibin (russian: Михаил Витальевич Улыбин, links=no; born 31 May 1971) is a Russian chess player, who was awarded the title of grandmaster by FIDE in 1991. He played in the Soviet junior championships of 1984, 1985 (3rd place), 1986, 1987, and 1988 (tied for 1st–2nd with Gata Kamsky). Ulibin took the silver medal in the World Junior Chess Championship of 1991. In 1994, he finished second behind Peter Svidler in the Russian championship at Elista and played for Russia's second team in the Moscow Chess Olympiad. His team took he bronze medal. He won the 1998/1999 Rilton Cup in Stockholm. In 2001, Ulibin won the Monarch Assurance International tournament at Port Erin, Isle of Man. In 2002, he won the Masters' tournament of the 12th Abu Dhabi Chess Festival edging out Evgeny Gleizerov and Shukhrat Safin on tiebreak, after all finished on 6½/9 points. Grandmaster (chess)
Grandmaster (GM) is a title awarded to chess players by the world chess organization FIDE. Apart from World Champion, Grandmaster is the highest title a chess player can attain. Once achieved, the title is held for life, though exceptionally it has been revoked for cheating. The title of Grandmaster, along with the lesser FIDE titles of International Master (IM) and FIDE Master (FM), is open to all players regardless of gender. The great majority of grandmasters are men, but 40 women have been awarded the GM title as of 2022, out of a total of about 2000 grandmasters. Since about the year 2000, most of the top 10 women have held the GM title. There is also a Woman Grandmaster title with lower requirements awarded only to women. Farrukh Amonatov
Farrukh Amonatov ( tg, Фаррух Амонатов; born 13 April 1978 in Dushanbe) is a chess grandmaster. Along with Magaram Magomedov, they are the only Grandmasters of Tajikistan. Amonatov is also the winner of many international tournaments and recently won the Mumbai Mayors Cup 2019. Despite living and training in Moscow, he represents Tajikistan in international tournaments. Amonatov is the official coach of the Russian Juniors chess team and conducts chess camps with talented juniors from all over the world. Amonatov was the Asian under-16 champion in 1992. He won the inaugural Moscow Open in 2005. Later that year Amonatov competed in the FIDE World Cup, where he knocked out Michał Krasenkow in the first round and then was eliminated in the second by Magnus Carlsen. Karen Asrian
Karen Asrian ( hy, Կարեն Ասրյան; 24 April 1980 – 9 June 2008) was an Armenian chess player. Awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 1998, he was a three-time Armenian champion. Asrian was a member of the gold medal-winning Armenian team in the 37th Chess Olympiad. Career Asrian started playing chess in 1985, became an international master in 1997 and a grandmaster in 1998. He graduated from the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport in 2001. He won the Armenian Chess Championship in 1999, 2007, and 2008, and the Dubai 2001 and 2004 Tigran Petrosian Memorial tournaments. Levon Babujian ( hy, Լեւոն Բաբուջյան , born May 8, 1986, in Yerevan) is an Armenian chess Grandmaster. He attended the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport and is the director of a chess school in the Malatia-Sebastia District of Yerevan. Robert Hovhannisyan ( hy, Ռոբերտ Հովհաննիսյան; born 23 March 1991) is an Armenian chess player. He was awarded the title Grandmaster by FIDE in 2010. In January 2011, Hovhannisyan won the 71st Armenian Chess Championship. In July he was a member of the gold-medal winning Armenian team at the World Team Chess Championship in Ningbo. The following month, Hovhannisyan tied for first place with Dariusz Świercz in the World Junior Chess Championship in Chennai, placing second on tiebreak.
