Mike Zuydwijk
Mike Zuydwijk (born 21 May 1994) is a former Dutch professional darts player who played in the Professional Darts Corporation. Career BDO Zuydwijk would join the BDO in 2011, where the only major BDO event Zuydwijk would qualify for was the 2012 World Masters, making it to the Last 80 against Daryl Gurney in a 3–2 defeat. PDC Zuydwijk began playing in PDC in 2014 and won the third Youth Tour event by whitewashing James Hubbard 4–0. In January 2015, Zuydwijk earned a two-year PDC tour card on the first day at Q School in Wigan. Zuydwick drew three-time world champion John Part in the first round of the 2015 UK Open, winning the match 5–2 to advance to the second round against Keegan Brown in a 5–3 defeat. John Part
John Part (born June 29, 1966) is a Canadian former professional darts player and current commentator. Nicknamed Darth Maple, he is a three-times World Champion, having won the 1994 BDO World Darts Championship on his world championship debut, and the PDC World Championship in 2003 and 2008. Part is statistically North America's greatest darts player to date. He has the distinction of being the first non-UK player to win the World Championship, and the only non-European to date to win the PDC World Darts Championship. Part's first Championship was the second time a non-seeded player won the BDO World Darts Championship, and one of the few times where a player only lost one set in the entire tournament. 2016 PDC Pro Tour
The 2016 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In 2016 there were 36 PDC Pro Tour events held – 20 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and ten European Tour events. Prize money Prize money for each Players Championship has increased from £60,000 to £75,000 per event. The UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events stays the same as in 2015. This is how the prize money is divided: PDC Pro Tour Card 128 players are granted Tour Cards, which enables them to participate in all Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events. 2016 UK Open
The 2016 Coral UK Open was a darts tournament staged by the Professional Darts Corporation. It was the fourteenth year of the tournament where, following numerous regional qualifying heats throughout Britain, players competing in a single elimination tournament to be crowned champion. The tournament was held for the third time at the Butlin's Resort in Minehead, England, between 4–6 March 2016, and has the nickname, "the FA Cup of darts" as a random draw will be staged after each round until the final. In a repeat of last year's final, Michael van Gerwen beat Peter Wright to retain his title. During the tournament, he also hit a nine-dart finish against the then-unknown Rob Cross in the fourth round. Justin Pipe
Justin Pipe (born 9 November 1971) is an English former professional darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was a former top 10 player. Playing career Pipe was a boxer in his youth, and, as a staunch anti-smoker, he refused to play darts in local pubs as the cigarette smoke would make his eyes water. In 2007, a smoking ban was introduced to England which enabled him to restart his darts career. He first emerged at the 2008 UK Open as a pub qualifier. He defeated Geoff Wylie and Lionel Sams before losing 9–3 to James Wade in the third round. Following this performance, he joined the PDC Pro Tour and reached the same stage of the UK Open a year later, this time losing 9–5 against Andy Jenkins. He qualified for the 2010 Grand Slam of Darts as one of four ITV Wildcard qualifiers. Joe Murnan
Joe Murnan (born 28 September 1983) is an English darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career Murnan reached the last 40 of the 2010 Winmau World Masters, losing 3–0 to Filipino Ronald L. Briones. Murnan qualified for the 2011 UK Open where he reached the last 32. He defeated Mark Dudbridge 9–8 in a close affair, before losing to the 1995 BDO World Darts Champion Richie Burnett 9–6. In March 2014, he reached the last 32 of the UK Open again, this time being beaten 9–3 by Raymond van Barneveld. Later in the month he progressed to the last 16 of a PDC event for the first time as he beat the likes of Dean Winstanley and Dave Chisnall at the first Players Championship, before losing 6–4 to Andy Hamilton. 2015 Gibraltar Darts Trophy
The 2015 Gibraltar Darts Trophy was the second of nine PDC European Tour events on the 2015 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Victoria Stadium, Gibraltar, between 20–22 March 2015. It featured a field of 48 players and £115,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. The defending champion was James Wade, having beaten Steve Beaton 6–4 in the previous year's final, but he was defeated in the semi-finals after losing 6–2 to Terry Jenkins, who then lost the final 6–3 to Michael van Gerwen. Keegan Brown
Keegan Brown (born 5 November 1992) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He won the 2014 PDC World Youth Championship. Career Early career Brown began playing darts at the age of nine and was playing in men's county league games for the Isle of Wight at the age of 13. He qualified for the 2011 PDC Under-21 World Championship but lost to Michael van Gerwen 2–4 in the last 64. In January 2012, Brown entered the Professional Darts Corporation's Q-School event in an attempt to earn a two-year tour card. He achieved this by finishing seventh on the Order of Merit after the four days of play, comfortably inside the top 24 who won their places. He mainly concentrated his 2012 season around Youth Tour tournaments, winning the 14th event in September.
