Mike Tramp
Michael Trempenau (born 14 January 1961), better known as Mike Tramp, is a Danish singer best known for his work with the glam metal band White Lion. Since 1998, he has also released several solo albums. In 2012, Tramp went on a solo acoustic tour releasing acoustic albums in both 2013 and 2014. He returned with a full band lineup in 2015 and in 2017, released the album '' Maybe Tomorrow'', which charted at number 1 in Denmark. Biography 1976–1982: Early years Trempenau was born and raised in Vesterbro, Copenhagen, with his mother, Doris, and two brothers, Dennis and Kim. He started his musical career singing in Vesterbro Ungdomsgård, a youth group club in Copenhagen, and appears on their first album: ''Vi lever på Vesterbro'' (1974). In 1976, Trempenau, now known professionally as Tramp, joined the pop band Mabel as the lead singer. ''Pride'' is the second studio album by the American-Danish glam metal band White Lion, released on June 21, 1987, by Atlantic Records. The album featured the two top ten hits "Wait" and "When the Children Cry". It peaked at number 11 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and remained in the '' Billboard'' Top 200 for a full year, selling two million copies in the US alone. The album has been praised for its unique and perfect guitar tone. Overview The recording process of the album took six weeks and the album was produced by Michael Wagener. ''Recovering the Wasted Years'' is the second solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp, released on 1 January 2002. Background and recording The album marks a return to recording following a five-year hiatus since his first solo release, Capricorn, during which time Tramp parted with his former management and label and moved to Australia, with the aim of raising his son away from the rigors of a big city and to plan his next career move. The album was recorded in Media Sound Studios in Copenhagen, produced by Mike Tramp and mixed by Phil Kaffel. The CD was released as limited edition digipack which came with a free Mike Tramp signature guitar pick. Former Freak of Nature bandmate, Kenny Korade once again features on guitars for the album. James LoMenzo
James LoMenzo (born January 13, 1959) is an American heavy metal bass guitarist. He was a member of the band White Lion, performing with them from 1984 to 1991. He was later the bassist for Black Label Society, Slash's Snakepit, and Megadeth. He was announced as Megadeth's touring bassist in August 2021 and in June 2022 he fully returned to the band. Outside music, he is known for being a contestant on the 21st season of the reality television series ''The Amazing Race''. Gerard John "Jerry" Best (born May 8, 1963 in Queens, New York), is a Los Angeles-based hard rock bassist, songwriter and composer, active since 1984. He has played with bands such as Lion, Dio, Freak of Nature and Heavy Bones. Jerry was first introduced to his instrument by his older brother Tom, who showed him how to play the basic chords. The most well-known works Best has played in include the theme song for the ''Transformers'' movie and the album '' Power Love'' with the band Lion. ''Capricorn'' is the debut solo album by former White Lion and Freak of Nature lead singer, Mike Tramp. First released in France on the CNR Music label on October 17, 1997, the album was subsequently given a much wider distribution with the North American release on the 10th of February 1998 through CMC International, at which point Tramp commenced a solo tour in support of it. The album was also picked up in Britain by Music for Nations. Dio (band)
Dio was an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 and led by vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Dio left Black Sabbath with intentions to form a new band with fellow former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. The name Dio was chosen because it made sense from a commercial standpoint, as the name was already well known at that time. The band released 10 studio albums and had numerous lineup changes over the years, with Dio himself being the only constant member. Guitarists included Vivian Campbell, Craig Goldy, Doug Aldrich, Warren DeMartini, Tracy G, Jake E. Lee and Rowan Robertson. Helloween
Helloween is a German power metal band founded in 1984 in Hamburg by members of bands Iron Fist, Gentry, Second Hell and Powerfool. Its first lineup consisted of singer and guitarist Kai Hansen, bassist Markus Grosskopf, guitarist Michael Weikath and drummer Ingo Schwichtenberg. By the time Hansen quit Helloween in 1989 to form Gamma Ray, the band had evolved into a five-piece, with Michael Kiske taking over as lead vocalist. Schwichtenberg and Kiske both parted ways with Helloween in 1993; Schwichtenberg died two years later as the result of suicide. ''Outcasts'' is the third and final album from the Hard Rock / Heavy Metal band Freak of Nature, released in 1998. The album is a collection of B-sides, demos and outtakes released through Ulftone Records. Most of the tracks had never been released before with the exception of a few tracks being released as b-sides to previous singles. ''Freak of Nature'' is the self-titled debut album by American hard rock / heavy metal band Freak of Nature, released on March 29, 1993. The band features former White Lion vocalist Mike Tramp who formed Freak of Nature following White Lion's last album release The Best of White Lion in 1992. Background and recording The album was produced by Phil Kaffel and recorded at the Plant Studios in Sausalito, California and although the record, released through Music For Nations, did not shift in large quantities Freak of Nature's relentless work ethic brought in many admirers.
