Mike Perry (game Developer)
Mike Perry (born 1969) was creative director at Maxis and Electronic Arts, where he worked on many of the '' Sim'' games. He produced and designed the award-winning title ''SimFarm'', and both produced and programmed Yoot Saito's award-winning title ''SimTower''. As of 2011, he is an executive producer at Zynga, managing the ''FarmVille'' game. Biography Perry's first game was an Astrosmash clone, which he wrote in BASIC on a Timex Sinclair 1000 at the age of 13. He lived at Pensacola Naval Air Station, as his stepfather was an officer in the U.S. Navy. Perry was a C64 enthusiast in high school, using it to teach himself how to program games and BBS applications. His stepfather later took a job as medical professor at the University of South Alabama, which school Perry attended as well, studying music. Maxis
Maxis is an American video game developer and a Division (business), division of Electronic Arts (EA). The studio was founded in 1987 by Will Wright (game designer), Will Wright and Jeff Braun, and acquired by Electronic Arts, EA in 1997. Maxis is best known for its simulation games, including ''The Sims'', ''Spore (2008 video game), Spore'' and ''SimCity''. In the late 2010s, Maxis suffered from a series of studio closures and layoffs. Jeff Braun
Jeff Braun is an American business executive and co-founder of the video game developer Maxis. Career Braun had successfully published font packs for the Amiga personal computer when he met Will Wright at a pizza party hosted by Chris Doner in 1987. Wright had been unsuccessful in finding a game publisher for his city-building game ''SimCity''. Braun already had a wire frame jet fighter simulation game he hoped to publish, and when he saw ''SimCity'' he told Wright that the two games would give them critical mass to start a new games publisher of their own. Super Adventure Island
is a side-scrolling platform game by Hudson Soft released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992 and later re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console download service in 2011.
