Mike Jinks
Michael Troy Jinks (born February 7, 1972) is an American football coach, currently the running backs coach for Houston Cougars football. Jinks served as the head football coach at Bowling Green State University from 2016 until midway through the 2018 season, before becoming the running backs coach at the University of Southern California. Previously he was an assistant head coach and running backs coach at Texas Tech University. Early life Jinks was born on February 7, 1972. He played quarterback for three years at Judson High School in Converse, Texas before graduating in 1990. After high school, Jinks played college football at the NCAA Division II level for Angelo State Rams football, Angelo State. The Houston Cougars football program is an NCAA Division I FBS football team that represents the University of Houston. The team is commonly referred to as "Houston" or "UH" (spoken as "U of H"). Jerry Vandergriff
Jerry Vandergriff (born c. 1942) is a former American football player and coach. He was a football player at Angelo State College in San Angelo, Texas, and the University of Corpus Christi. He was a football coach at Angelo State from 1971 to 2004, including 23 years as head coach. He is the winningest coach in Angelo State history and ranks 39th in wins in NCAA Division II history. Biography Vandergriff is a native of Tulia, Texas. He began his association with Angelo State Rams football as a freshman football player. He later recalled, "Basically, I played here when I was a freshman coming in and just fell in love with the place." NCAA Division II (D-II) is an intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
