Mike Inglis (golfer)
Mike Inglis is a Canadian sportscaster. He is the former radio play-by-play voice of the NBA's Miami Heat. Raised in Toronto, Ontario, Inglis is a graduate of Humber College. He began broadcasting in the early 1980s at CKAR in Oshawa, Ontario, providing play-by-play for the NASL's Toronto Blizzard and the OHL's Oshawa Generals. From 1984 to 1986, he was the play-by-play for Winnipeg Blue Bombers games on CFRW, where he was also the sports director. In 1987, he was briefly the radio play-by-play voice of the Indiana Pacers. CJCL (590 AM, ''Sportsnet 590 The Fan'') is a Canadian sports radio station in Toronto, Ontario. Owned and operated by Rogers Sports & Media since 2002, CJCL's studios are located at the Rogers Building at Bloor and Jarvis in downtown Toronto, while its transmitters are located near Grimsby atop the Niagara Escarpment. It is the flagship station for the Toronto Blue Jays, and also airs games from the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Maple Leafs, Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo Bills. CJCL is also a CBS Sports Radio affiliate. The 1997–98 NBA season was the 52nd season of the National Basketball Association. The season ended with the Chicago Bulls winning their third straight championship and sixth in the last eight years, beating the Utah Jazz 4 games to 2 in the 1998 NBA Finals. Paul Jones (sportscaster)
Paul Jones (born 1958) is a Canadian sportscaster. He previously served as the colour analyst on Raptors radio broadcasts, a role he had during the Raptors' inaugural season in 1995, with play-by-play man Mike Inglis on CFRB 1010. Currently, he serves as the Raptors' radio play-by-play announcer on Fan 590, alongside colour analyst Eric Smith. In addition to those duties, Jones appears on a weekly basketball show hosted by Smith on the Fan 590, ''Hoops'', which is simulcast on Raptors NBA TV. Jones and Smith also appear together on another show on Raptors NBA TV, ''Double Dribble''. CFRB (1010 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is owned by Bell Media and carries a News/Talk radio format. Its studios and offices are in the Entertainment District at 250 Richmond Street West. CFRB is a clear channel station powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum permitted in Canada. The Toronto Raptors are a Canadian professional basketball team based in Toronto. Bob Lamey
Bob Lamey (born December 23, 1938) is an American sportscaster, formerly the radio play-by-play announcer for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. Lamey had been "The Voice of the Colts" since the team moved to Indianapolis in 1984, except from 1992-94, until his retirement in 2018. Lamey has previously served as radio voice of the NBA's Indiana Pacers (1977–84) and two defunct hockey teams, the Indianapolis Racers of the WHA and the Indianapolis Checkers of the IHL. Lamey was affectionately known as "Hockey Bob" upon first arriving on the Indianapolis sports scene in the 1970s.
