Mike Haviland
Mike Haviland (born July 24, 1967) is the former head coach for the Colorado College Tigers of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference, NCHC from 2014 to 2021. Previously he was head coach of the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. Previously, he was an assistant coach for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League from 2008–2012, where he won the Stanley Cup in 2010 Stanley Cup Finals, 2010. Haviland was named the American Hockey League's Coach of Year, winning the Louis A. R. Pieri Memorial Award for the 2006–07 AHL season, while serving as head coach of the Norfolk Admirals (AHL), Norfolk Admirals. On June 18, 2013 it was announced that Haviland would take over as head coach of the Bears, replacing Mark French (ice hockey), Mark French. On May 9, 2014 Haviland was named Head Coach of the Colorado College Tigers replacing Scott Owens. Quarterfinal games were played at home team campus sites, while the final four games were played at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. By winning the tournament, St. Cloud State received the NCHC's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. Format The first round of the postseason tournament features a best-of-three games format. All eight conference teams participate in the tournament. Mark French (ice Hockey)
Mark French is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach. Playing career A native of Milton, Ontario, French played college hockey at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, serving as assistant captain for three years there and received the prestigious "212 Degrees" annual award all four seasons, presented to the athlete who demonstrates leadership, commitment and excellence on the ice. Coaching career French was the head coach at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2002 to 2004. He as then an assistant coach in the ECHL with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies during the 2004–05 season as the Bullies posted a 42–21–9 record. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). National Collegiate Hockey Conference
The National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) is an NCAA men's Division I hockey conference formed on July 9, 2011. The league began playing for the 2013–14 season, the same season that the Big Ten Conference began competition, as a combination of six previous members of the WCHA and two of the CCHA.
