Mike Day (born 31 July 1955 in Auckland) is a New Zealand professional darts player who currently plays in World Darts Federation events. He reached the first round of the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship. Career In 2013 he won the Canterbury Open, he beat Tony Carmichael in the final 5–4. He qualified for the 2014 BDO World Darts Championship, he played Sam Head in the preliminary round winning 3–0 before losing to Glen Durrant in the first round 3–0. "Play That Funky Music" is a song written by Rob Parissi and recorded by the band Wild Cherry. World Darts Federation
The World Darts Federation (WDF) is a sport governing body and (along with the PDC) a tournament organiser for the game of darts. It was formed in 1974 by representatives of the original fourteen founding members. Membership is open to the national organizing body for darts in all nations. 2014 BDO World Darts Championship
The 2014 Lakeside World Professional Darts Championship was the 37th World Championship organised by the British Darts Organisation, and the 29th staging at the Lakeside Country Club at Frimley Green. Scott Waites was the defending men's champion, having won the title for the first time in the 2013 championship, but he was defeated 0–3 in the first round by eventual runner-up Alan Norris, who in turn lost to first seed Stephen Bunting in the final. The defending women's champion was Anastasia Dobromyslova, who won her third title in 2013. She lost to the eventual champion Lisa Ashton in the semi-finals. Sam Head (born 14 June 1993) is an English professional darts player who plays in British Darts Organisation (BDO) events. Career Head in 2012 almost caused a sensation when he reached the last 16 of the Winmau World Masters his first televised tournament. In the same year he won the British Teenage Open und started to play quite successfully on the PDC Youth Tour. Glen Durrant
Glen Durrant (born 24 November 1970), nicknamed "Duzza", is an English former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He previously won the BDO World Darts Championship three times consecutively from 2017 to 2019. He is also a one-time World Trophy, two-time World Masters and three-time Finder Darts Masters champion. After switching to the PDC in 2019, Durrant secured his maiden PDC major title by winning the 2020 Premier League. Jeff Smith (darts Player)
Jeff Smith (born 6 November 1975) is a Canadian professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He reached the semi-final of the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship and the final of the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship in the following year where he faced Scott Waites. Career In his first tournament, Smith reached the semi-final of the Canada National Championships in 1996. He won the tournament in 2008 beating Jeff Noble. Smith entered the Professional Darts Corporation Q School in January 2011. He won a PDC tour card on the third and final day by defeating Ross Smith 6–2 in his final match.
