Mike Anchondo
Michael Alfred Anchondo (born April 15, 1982) is an American former professional boxer who held the WBO Super featherweight title. Professional career Anchondo signed turned pro in 2000 at the age of 18 and won his first 24 fights most of which were fought in southern california. His 25th fight was for the vacant WBO super featherweight title in 2004 in which he faced Pablo Chacón in Miami. He comfortably outpointed Chacón over 12 rounds and knocked Chacon down in the final round with two minutes remaining. It was a short reign, as he was stripped of the title for being nearly being 5 lbs. overweight during the weigh-in, his opponent Jorge Rodrigo Barrios ended up winning via 4th round stoppage in a bout that was televised by ESPN Friday Night Fights. In 2007, he was upset by former amateur standout Darling Jimenez, dashing any imminent title hopes. He retired from fighting in 2010 at the relatively young age of 28. Gregorio Vargas
Gregorio Vargas Hernández, better known as ''Goyo Vargas'' (born 27 October 1970) is a Mexican retired professional boxer who held the WBC featherweight title in 1993. Professional career Vargas was born in Santa María Natívitas, a small community located in the municipality of Cuautepec, Hidalgo, into a family of boxing aficionados. He was trained by his father since childhood and two brothers, Adán and Efraín, also became professional pugilists. On 28 April 1993, Vargas won the WBC featherweight title from Paul Hodkinson by TKO in round 7. On 11 July 1998. He would lose the title in his first defense to New yorker Kevin Kelley. Vargas would get another opportunity at a world title in his next fight, this time losing a unanimous decision to John John Molina. Vargas retired in 2005. The Paradise Theater, formerly Loew's Paradise Theatre, is a movie palace-type theater located at 2417 Grand Concourse in the Bronx, New York. The Grand Olympic Auditorium is a former sports venue in southern Downtown Los Angeles, California. The venue was built in 1924 at 1801 South Grand Avenue, now just south of the Santa Monica Freeway.
