Miguel Tendillo Belenguer (born 1 February 1961) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a central defender. Over 15 seasons, he amassed La Liga totals of 370 matches and 28 goals, appearing most notably for Valencia (eight years) and Real Madrid (five) and winning ten major titles. Tendillo played nearly 30 times with Spain, representing the nation in one World Cup and one European Championship. The 1980 European Cup Winners' Cup Final was a football match contested on 14 May 1980 between Valencia of Spain and Arsenal of England. The final was held at Heysel Stadium in Brussels, Belgium. The 1979–80 season was the 20th season of the European Cup Winners' Cup, a football tournament organised by UEFA for the cup winners from each of its member associations. The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a European football club competition contested annually by the winners of domestic cup competitions. The cup was, chronologically, the second seasonal inter-European club competition organised by UEFA. The tournament ran for 39 seasons, with the final edition held in 1998–99, after which it was discontinued. The first tournament was held in 1960–61, but it was organised by the Mitropa Cup's Organising Committee and not recognised by the governing body of European football until 1963, when it was accepted as a UEFA competition on the initiative of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
