Miguel Mieg
Miguel Mieg Alonso (29 September 1896 – 19 April 1981), was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder for Athletic Club de Madrid. A historical member of Athletic Madrid in the late 1910s, he was one of the first footballers to play for them for his entire career, and thus to be part of the so-called one-club men group. After retiring as a player, he become a renowned architect. Club career Born in Bilbao, he moved to Madrid as a child, where he began to play football. At only 18 years of age, he joined Athletic Club de Madrid in 1914, with whom he played for 8 years, forming a great midfield partnership with Sócrates Quintana in his first few years at the club and featuring alongside the likes of Pagaza, Juan de Cárcer, Naveda and the Villaverde brothers (Fernando and Senén). Ramón Olalquiaga Borne (30 August 1898 – 31 January 1990), sometimes spelled as Ramón Olalkiaga, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward for Athletic Madrid, and later a coach, engineer and professor of agronomy. Club career Born in Gipuzkoa to a local veterinarian, he studied Marianist studies in San Sebastián and later studied agronomic engineering in Madrid. As a student in Madrid, he played for Atlético Madrid for 6 seasons. José María Castell García de la Cruz (24 September 1896 - 13 October 1981) was a Spanish footballer who played as a midfielder. Castell was one of the most important figures of Madrid FC at the beginning and middle of the 20th last century, as a player, captain, manager and even as an architect. Club career Born in San Sebastián, he moved to Madrid when he was a child, and there he studied at the Colegio Clásico Español, where he took his first steps in football, playing as a midfielder. The 1921 Copa del Rey Final was the 21st final of the Spanish cup competition, the Copa del Rey. The final was played at San Mamés, in Bilbao, on 8 May 1921. Athletic Bilbao beat Athletic Madrid 4–1 courtesy of two braces from José María Laca and Domingo Acedo, a victory that asssured their eighth domestic cup title.
