Mietta
Daniela Miglietta (born 12 November 1969 in Taranto, Italy) is an Italian singer, actress and novelist. She has released 11 albums in total. Biography In 1988 she took part in the Sanremo Music Festival in the ''New comers'' category with ''Sogno''. It didn't happen, however it was noticed by the melodic songwriter Amedeo Minghi, who wrote the song ''Canzoni'' for her in the following year. Mietta won the ''New comers'' category and the critics award Mia Martini. In the same year she was awarded her first platinum album and the Telegatto as ''best new artist'' of 1989, with the support of votes from Italians. In 1990 Amedeo Minghi, with his talent as a scout, sang a duet with her in ''Vattene amore'', the song that won third place in the SanRemo Festival and has been interpreted into English 'All for the Love' by Nikka Costa. Vattene Amore
"Vattene amore" is a 1990 song composed by Amedeo Minghi, Pasquale Panella and Augusto Martelli and recorded in a duo performance by Mietta and Minghi. The song premiered at the 40th edition of the Sanremo Music Festival, where it placed third. During the festival, it was also performed in an English-language adaptation titled "All for the Love" by Nikka Costa. The song was an immediate hit, topping the Italian singles chart for several weeks. Lyrics The song is a classic piece of love, characterized by a strong vocal chiaroscurism. The text describes the difficulties of a couple separated by the numerous trips of him, using a very idiomatic language. If words were to be literally translated into a different language (like English), several non-sense could be in place. Sanremo Music Festival 2008
The Sanremo Music Festival 2008 was the 58th Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo. The first and the second night of the show were held on 25 and 26 February 2008, while the last three nights were held from 28 February and 1 March 2008. The contest, broadcast by Rai 1, was presented by Pippo Baudo and Piero Chiambretti with Bianca Guaccero and Andrea Osvárt. The competition included two different sections. The "Big Artists" section, starring twenty established singers, was won by the duo composed of Giò Di Tonno and Lola Ponce with the song "Colpo di fulmine", while the newcomers' section, featuring 14 debuting or little known artists, was won by Sonohra's " L'amore". The show received poor ratings compared to those of the previous years. All of the five nights of the show were watched by less than 10,000,000 people, the worst result in the contest's history. ''La Piovra'' (; en, The Octopus, referring to the Mafia) is an Italian television drama series about the Mafia. Mango, stage name of Giuseppe Mango (6 November 1954 – 8 December 2014), was an Italian singer-songwriter and musician. Amedeo Minghi (born 12 August 1947) is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer and producer. Life and career Born in Rome, Minghi started his career in the mid-1960s participating in a large number of musical contests, and then making his professional debut in 1966 with the single "Alla fine", with lyrics by Mogol. The disappointing commercial results of the song and the military service took him away from the musical industry for several years. Following a new single in 1971, in 1973 he released his first eponymous album, with the uncredited collaboration of Francesco De Gregori. OGAE
The (OGAE) () is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation, consisting of 42 Eurovision Song Contest fan clubs from across Europe and beyond. It was founded in 1984 in Savonlinna, Finland by Jaripekka Koikkalainen.
