Mieso, Somali (woreda)
Mieso is a woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. Part of the Shinile Zone, this woreda is bordered on the south by the Oromia Region, on the northwest by the Afar Region, and on the east by the Afdem woreda. The administrative center for this woreda is Mulu town. Demographics Based on the 2017 Census conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia (CSA), this woreda has a total population of 92,086, of whom 47,187 are men and 44,899 women. While 1,212 are urban inhabitants, a further 90,874 were pastoralists. Based on figures published by the CSA in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 53,665, of whom 24,783 are men and 28,882 are women. Shinile Zone
Sitti Zone ( so, Gobolka Sitti), formerly known as Shinile, is a zone in Somali Region of Ethiopia. Located at the northwestern point of the Somali Region and stretching across the savanna north of the Ahmar Mountains, Sitti is bordered on the south by Dire Dawa and the Oromia Region, on the west by the Afar Region, on the north by Djibouti, on the east by Somaliland, and on the southeast by Fafan Zone. Afar Region
The Afar Region (; aa, Qafar Rakaakayak; am, አፋር ክልል), formerly known as Region 2, is a regional state in northeastern Ethiopia and the homeland of the Afar people. Its capital is the planned city of Semera, which lies on the paved Awash– Assab highway. Afdem ( so, Afdam) is a woreda in Somali Region, Ethiopia. Located in the Sitti Zone, this woreda is bordered on the southwest by Mieso, on the north by the Afar Region and on the east by Erer, and on the south by the Oromia Region. Mulu, Ethiopia
Mulu is a town in eastern Ethiopia, located in the Sitti Zone of the Somali Regional State. It is the main town of Mieso district. Mulu is served by a station on the Addis Ababa-Djibouti railroad. The Central Statistical Agency (CSA; Amharic: ማዕከላዊ ስታቲስቲክስ ኤጀንሲ) is an agency of the government of Ethiopia designated to provide all surveys and censuses for that country used to monitor economic and social growth, as well as to act as an official training center in that field.
