Mies De Cozada
Mies de Cozada, colloquially called ''San Román'', is a multi-purpose municipal stadium located in the town of San Román de la Llanilla, in the municipality of Santander, Cantabria, Spain. It is an artificial grass field opened in 2010 and holding about 1,500 people. The facilities are used by BathCo Independiente RC for playing rugby in División de Honor and by Rayo Cantabria and Atlético San Román for football practice. Santander, Cantabria
Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. It is a port city located east of Gijón and west of Bilbao with a population of 172,000 (2017). It is believed to have been a port since ancient times, due to its favorable location, and is documented as far back as the 11th century. Much of the medieval city was lost in the Great Fire of 1941. Independiente Rugby Club
Independiente Rugby Club is a Spanish amateur rugby union club based in the Cantabrian city of Santander. The club was established in 1971 and competes in División de Honor; the top Spanish league competition for rugby union clubs. Independiente plays its home matches at the Mies de Cozada, a multi-use stadium in San Román de la Llanilla. The team traditionally plays in green and white colours. For several years, the club was known for sponsorship reasons as Bathco Independiente or Bathco, the latter of which is now the name of Club de Rugby Santander. Artificial turf is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well. División De Honor De Rugby
The División de Honor de Rugby is Spain's top level professional men's rugby union competition. The División de Honor de Rugby Championship is organised by the Federación Española de Rugby (Spanish Rugby Federation) and currently consists of 12 teams. The last-placed team in the competition is relegated at the end of the season to the División de Honor B, Spain`s second level of men's rugby union. The team finishing 11th enters a relegation/promotion playoff with the runner-up from the Division de Honor B playoffs.
