Middle Brother (Chagos Bank)
Middle Brother, also known as Île du Milieu, is an 8-hectare coral island on the Great Chagos Bank atoll of the Chagos Archipelago in the British Indian Ocean Territory. It is one of the three islands in the Three Brothers group on the western side of the atoll, and forms part of the Chagos Archipelago strict nature reserve. It has been identified as an Important Bird Area by BirdLife International for its significance as a breeding site for seabirds, notably sooty tern The sooty tern (''Onychoprion fuscatus'') is a seabird in the family Laridae. It is a bird of the tropical oceans, returning to land only to breed on islands throughout the equatorial zone. Middle Brother Islet, Queensland
Middle (or Mid) Brother Islet is a small uninhabited island at the east entrance of the Adolphus Channel of the Torres Strait, in Queensland, Australia. It is located about 7 km south of Mount Adolphus Island, 7 km east of Albany Island, and 1.5 km west of the South Ledge Reef. Middle Brother lies at the northwest edge of the Middle Brother Reef, halfway between the North Brother Rock (1.3 km to the northwest) and the South Brother Reef. It is about 80 m long by 50 m wide. Middle Brother National Park
Middle Brother National Park is a protected area of 1830 hectares, situated in the Mid North Coast region of New South Wales. The nearest large town is Laurieton. The high rainfall and volcanic soils produce outstanding eucalyptus forest and rainforest. Large Flooded Gum and Blackbutt grow in sheltered areas. The national park was formed to protect the two largest (by volume) coastal black beech trees - Bird Tree and Benaroon. Scientists believe that the bird tree is over 300 years old. It reaches an impressive size of 69 meters in height and 11 meters in circumference of the tree. For members of the Aboriginal people of Birpai, who are the traditional owners of the land, Middle Brother National Park has significant cultural importance. Middle Brother (band)
Middle Brother is an American rock band consisting of songwriters and musicians John J. McCauley III of Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit. They first came together in 2009, and played their first show at the 2010 SXSW film conference and festival at the Ale House in Austin, Texas, where they performed under the moniker "MG&V" in an unannounced appearance. The band played their first official show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, California on December 20, 2010 under the official name of Middle Brother. Middle Brother released their self-titled debut album on March 1, 2011. On July 26, 2021 the band played a set at the Newport Folk Festival. They opened with a cover of a Traveling Wilburys The Traveling Wilburys were a British-American supergroup consisting of Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty.
