The Microregion of São Carlos ( pt, Microrregião de São Carlos) is a microregion located on the east-center of São Paulo state, Brazil, and is made up of 6 municipalities. It belongs to the Mesoregion of Araraquara. A microregion ( pt, Microrregião) was a legally defined area in Brazil consisting of a group of municipalities. They were abolished in 2017 and replaced by "immediate geographic regions". Microregions were grouped together into mesoregions. Analândia is a Brazilian municipality of the state of São Paulo. The population is 5,056 (2020 est.) in an area of 326 km². Its original given name in 1887 was Cuscuzeiro, later changing to Anápolis in 1890, and finally taking on the name of Analândia in 1944 to distinguish itself from a homonymous municipality.
